THE WILL OF PRIMUS

Chapter 16

I was once again on the monitors looking for Decepticon activity or any energon signals from energon deposits, that's when I stumbled across a Decepticon signal.

Titus: Optimus, I'm picking up a signal from a Decepticon ship.

Ratchet: It's ancient.

Optimus: The past has a way of catching up with the present, Ratchet.

Titus: We should investigate.

I activate the ground bridge and we all head out to the coordinates, We found what seemed to be half of the ship and the signal was coming from underground, we walked along the empty halls until we came across Airachnid. She quickly fled back the way she came while Arcee and I gave chase, Airachnid tunnels her way out and Arcee climbed after her.

Titus: Arcee wait!

Optimus ran to the surface while I picked up a webbed Starscream and went after Optimus and the others.

Starscream: Release me!

I ignore him and continued walking, I drop him in front of the other then stood next to Optimus.

Starscream: Please, I'll tell you anything you want to know.

Bulkhead: And what do you want in return?

Starscream: I want to be on your side.

I raise an eyebrow, he wants to join us but for what reason and what did he wish to gain from joining us?

Bulkhead: On our side? HaHa, yeah right and I've been lobbing with the Fallen.

Arcee: You wouldn't betray the Decepticons.

Starscream tells us why he wanted to join us but I'm still suspicious of him. I look at the others and spoke.

Titus: Even though I do not trust him, he can help us find the other half of the ship but that is up to all of you to decide.

They walk away to discuss on what they should do with Starscream while I kept watch on him.

Starscream: You believe me, right?

Titus: I do but not completely and if you betray us, I kill you.

Starscream: Are all Predacons big on loyalty like you?

Titus: Yes. We hate traitors and liars, we treasure both our pride and loyalty but our Sparkmates and Sparklings are what we treasure the most.

Starscream: Sparklings?

Titus: Our Sparklings are like normal Cybertronian Sparklings except their frames are built and both a piece of the Sire's and Carrier's spark is placed into them to give them life. I currently have two... well one now.

Starscream: And who may that be?

I kneeled down and looked at him straight in the optic. My optics turn from blue to blazing red, I aim my Plasma cannon under his chin making him shake in fear.

Titus: If you dare think about threatening my young, I will feed your remains to a swarm of scraplets.

Starscream: Understood

I calm down and stood back up. We waited in silence until I finally spoke.

Titus: Smokescreen.

Starscream: What?

Titus: My Sparkling. His name is Smokescreen.

The others come back and we loaded starscream up into Optimus' trailer. We couldn't use mine since it combines with me when I transform, I switch to my Predacon form and flew above the others as we headed for the other half of the ship.

(time skip)

Bulkhead: Well whaddya know?

I transform and landed beside Optimus' trailer.

Arcee: Could still be a trap.

Optimus: Starscream's loyalty to Megatron has always been questionable. If he truly has split from the Decepticons, our prisoner's knowledge of their agendas could make him a valuable ally.

Bulkhead: You don't mean permanently. As in keys to the base and everything.

Titus: Only time can tell but I do believe that he deserves a second chance.

Arcee: Even bot-killers, even Airachnid?

Optimus: Without that hope, we may never achieve lasting peace.

Bulkhead heads over to the trailer and retrieves Starscream.

Bulkhead: Rise and shine, Screamy.

Arcee: We're here. Where's the ship?

Starscream: It's through the arch, among the stones.

Optimus: Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Titus let us move. Arcee will you be fine guarding Starscream alone?

Arcee: I'll be fine.

We head off to the ship while being cautious about any ambushes.

Titus: Airachnid is known to attack from below ground. So I advise that you be quick and light on your feet.

We soon came across the ship and spotted her, we open fire but she dodges our shots and immobilizes Bulkhead. Airachnid then tunnel underneath us and got behind Optimus before immobilizing him. She tried to use the Immobilizer on me but I was quick on my feet and kept on moving, I deploy my rocket launcher and fired two rockets at her but she avoids them by tunneling underground.

I transform into my Predacon form and waited for her to appear. Bumblebee walked around being on his guard, soon I heard her tunneling out of the ground behind me. I quickly hit her with my tail and Bumblebee grabbed the Immobilizer from her. Airachnid transformed then left, I pick up both Optimus and Bulkhead in my talons and flew back to Arcee. Bumblebee transformed and followed me.

I caught sight of Arcee she had her hands on a wound around her waist to stop energon from leaking out then I saw Starscream, his hands had energon on them.

I roar in rage then flew down towards them. Starscream saw me and tried to run but I land in front of him. I place Optimus and Bulkhead down then looked at Starscream he gulped and began backing away from me, I growl as my systems and instincts went into overdrive.

He harmed Arcee.

He lied.

He is a danger to my friends.

To my FAMILY

HE MUST DIE!!!

My optics turn red and I roared. I grab Starscream before he could run and began slamming him into the ground, I pin him down and opened my mouth I was about to melt him from existence until I looked at Arcee.

Kill protocol disengaged

Protocol: 358-A engaged

I throw Starscream away and walked up to the others. I send a message to Ratchet requesting a ground bridge, I grab Optimus and Bulkhead as the ground bridge appeared then walked through.

Arcee: Um Ratchet? Can you have a look at Titus.

Ratchet scans me then sighs.

Ratchet: It would seem that Titus' instincts have gone into overdrive so I advise that no one leaves the base until he has calm down.

Jack: But-

I growl and he puts up his hands in surrender. I coo at him then nuzzled him, I walk up to the ground bridge and sat there. No one was going out or coming in the base without me knowing and I had are clear view of the driveway.
