Evie was in chemistry class, having difficulty with the course's test. Soon she was too stuck on a question and started to rummage through her bag after her magic mirror, but coudnt find it. She panicked until the teacher's voice, Mr. Delay, was heard, and the blue-haired girl looked up. "Looking for something?" he was holding her magic mirror. Oh no. Evie was speechless. "Thank you, Chad," said Mr. Delay and placed a hand on Chad's shoulder, which had a smirk on his face. "It's gratifying to see someone still respects the honor code." Evie didn't say anything, only glared at Chad, who only smiled at her.

"It will be my recommendation that you are expelled," Mr. Delay said.

Doug stood beside her in protest. "That isn't fair!" he said. "She wasn't cheating since she didn't have that...whatever it is." Evie looked at the boy and corrected him, but she wasn't exactly helping, so he asked her to stop. "Not helping," Doug whispered to her. the blue-haired girl nodded and bowed, trying to stay silent for the rest of the conversation between Doug and the teacher. "Maybe she needed another pencil," he told the teacher. Doug looked at the teacher. "Please."

"Please," said Evie, looking up at Mr. Delay. "Well, if you can pass this test, I'll return your property and let the matter drop," said Mr. Delay.

Evie smiled, and Doug sighed. Good that she had Doug, or this would have been a matter to talk about with her friends.

when it was reeces, Evie ran over to Doug, sitting at a picnic table eating this lunch and doing homework. "For the first time, it's like I'm more than just a pretty face," Evie said, letting him see her booklet. "Shocker, huh?" Doug said with a warm smile. "You were pretty great in there," she said, sitting beside him.

Doug grinned dopily. "So were you." Evie beamed. "I bet I can get an A on the next test without the mirror," she said.

"Maybe we can get together and hang out," said Doug.

"Yeah," said Evie, blushing. "Let's get together!" soon, Mal and Valia approached them, the purple-haired one calling out to her best friend, "There you are!" she said. "I have been looking for you everywhere." She slammed her hands down on the picnic table. On the other hand, Valia was standing a little distance away from them all, smiling gently at Doug and then at Evie. "What's wrong?" asked Evie.

"Ben just asked me out on"—Mal huffed— "a date!"

Evie and Doug chuckled We can handle this," Evie told her with a devious smile. She looked at Doug. "Bye!" she told him. She stood up and turned to Mal. "You're looking a little pale, but I can fix that with a lip gloss and some blush—" the three girls walked away, leaving Doug alone at the table. They had some serious matter to attend to. After all, what's more, important than a date with a future king?

In the girl's room, Mal was dressed in a terrific mix of punk and princess, wearing a scarf, dress, and leather jacket. "you're pretty in that M" Valia commented, getting a smile from the younger girl. "was your mom big on makeup V?" Evie asked while she applied blush to Mal's cheeks. Valai thought for a while, trying to remember her mother. she didn't precisely like makeup as her face was pretty from birth. "no, I don't, and I can't remember if she was. I was sent to the isle around four years, so I was too young even to start" Evie and Mal looked at their roommate with sympathy, something Vks didn't precisely show often. Valia shrugged it off. "it's fine. how was your mother, Mal?" she said and turned to Mal, looking at the purple-haired girl. "My mom was never huge on makeup tips," said Mal. "I never had a sister." Valia stood up, making Evie and Mal look at her.

the older girl smiled and slung an arm over Mal's shoulder and said, "Well, now you do," she smiled at them both and suddenly got serious. "We're gonna need all the family we can get if we don't pull this off." the girls nodded. "yeah, and I'm glad I have you two and the others, of course," Mal said and grabbed Valia's hand, giving it a gently squeeze. The white-haired secret princess was didenly the best thing that had happened to Mal and her friends. she was making them kinder-hearted and softer. And easier to get to fit in as they knew she also was struggling with that. Little did they know that once they got the wand and got off here, Valia would have to leave them. To her own family and the land, she's supposed to rule.

Valia dreaded that, but the faster she got to it, the quicker she would have her reign as she promised her aunt. And Valia didn't want to disappoint the dragon queen at all.
