Now when you first read a story or anything, in fact, it is the first sentence or first paragraph used to get your attention. With that sentence, the author has set the time period, setting or the mood of their story. And if it is a Fantasy, a Sci-Fi, or Historical piece? In only a few words, the author has you hooked. I am not like most authors and well my story starts with an introduction and a steaming hot summer.
Summer can usually be described in two adjectives, long and boring. The summer after my junior year made those two words seem like an understatement. I was never so happy for school to start so ending my tedious days that started at four a.m. and lasted to the stroke of midnight. No this stroke of midnight was not like Cinderella's that ended the magic, but started a magic time called sleep time. Work filled those never ending hours and the moments when I wasn't working I was studying or training. The question why such long hours rises. To really answer that question you need a little background info. Where to start?
