"Okay, class it is time to this year off. This year was finally your last year of high school; I bet you are extremely excited about that. This year of testing. A year of endings. But also a year of beginnings. For fun, I decided that I am giving you all a test, yippee. This test would be five hours and it will be in all subjects plus an essay. The alleyway will be on your favorite quote." Ms. Maya said as she slaps a huge test on our desk. "There are a hundred questions in each section and the essay should be exactly four pages long. Remember no talking until everyone is done. Oh Yeah, I almost forget that once you are done, drop off your test on my test and grab a career goal page, then you may leave. Now start!"
Gin looked over at me with a look that I know because it was also on my face. A look that meant letting the games begin for the top spot and first to finish. An hour and forty minutes into the test, I started on my essay. What is my favorite quote? It is so hard to decide since I have so many quotes to choose from. After a couple of minutes of debating, I decide on "We shall heal our wounds, collect our dead and continue fighting," said by Mao Tse-tung. That quote says a lot about my view on how to face what life throws at you. In thirty minutes, I was able to kick out the essay. I 'm done. Yay!
After I was done, I grabbed my test and did exactly what Ms. Maya instruct. I decided I will wait for the others on the roof so I quickly took out my phone and sent a text "at the highest place, I'll be waiting" I didn't even make it to the steps before Charles caught up with me.
"Why the roof?" Gin asked as he wrapped an arm around my waist.
"I just really like high places. I always feel strangely free," I said as we start up the stairs.
"That's true, but it can also be depressing," he mused as the amount of stairs got shorter and shorter. I wonder why he finds it depressing. It's always comforting to me, but he's never really avoiding high places.
"How is it depressing?" I inquired worriedly. Maybe we should go to the garden, but Gin was completely silent until we reach the roof, he simply walked over to the railing before he even spoke.
"The reason is really simple. It's just that it is as far as you can go," he divulged "Sometimes I wish I could fly and go places I could never reach."
Where would you go if you could fly what you crave something else, as well I wanted as I also pondered? I felt as though he needed some emotional support so I just simply rested my head against his upper back and waited. After all, he just turned as if he was just going to walk away so I pulled away to let him, but he quickly snaked his arms around my waist and pulled me close. The second my body molded to his, I relaxed. It just felt so right.
Just then, the roof door burst open and two very excited people came tumbling out, Becky and Adam. Oh, great who gave them coffee. I'm really going to murder that person.
"Gin! Rose! Guess what, you will never guess!" Becky cried out as she went to tackle us, luckily Adam jumped in between.
"I don't know! What is it?" I asked as though I really didn't care.
"Well then maybe I won't tell you since you really don't care, but you will once you do," Becky said all sassy like.
"Okay, Becky you peaked my interest so tell me already," I decided to let her win and just give in.
"Well since you asked so nicely I will tell you," Becky said as a smile turned into a smirk that lots of people learned to fear, "so after you guys left something went down. Well maybe it's not that important really, but you guys might want to go establish a place in the Hierarchy, now though."
Why should we?" I asked not seeing the importance.
"Well, because after you left, a guy started to make lots of troubles and no one stopped him, poor Miss Maya. Adam would not do anything because he didn't know here Charles hierarchy now. He really did want to help so poor Adam too."
"Well I guess we will have to go talk to the head honcho and figure it out won't we," in shrugged I leaned into his arms. Darn, I thought I would have a peaceful first week.
"Alright let's go!" I huffed as I started to head for the stairs, "oh wait, where should we go?"
"I asked around and found out that the gang hangs out at a club called 'Aces'," Adam informed.
"Why do gang leaders always hang out in clubs?" I asked annoyed. I am so tired of stereotypes and people who follow.
"Let's not get into it here, honey," Gin said to me, calms me down
"Let's just get this over with already. I am hungry," Adam who said with a roll of his eyes and we all headed to our bikes.
"Becks, how did you get here?" I asked because I don't see her bike.
"Well this morning, Thomas dropped me off. Rose, you remember the hunk that got hired to drive the Lincoln. So I thought I would ride with you or Adam."
"Well you know I don't drive with anyone on my bike except for my sister in emergencies. So you will have to ride with your beloved boyfriend."
"I already knew that I just wanted to ask just in case you change your mind or that you are going insane."
"Let's go!" I laughed as I swung my leg over my bike. I really love my baby. 0nce everyone was ready to go, it was finally time... for some fun.
