Backstory: James is the firstborn to the King and Queen of Valerie and the only child they produced. It was quite a surprise when the Queen was announced pregnant due to her being rumored to be infertile, but oh did the kingdom celebrate for days when it was announced. They celebrated for weeks and the same happened when James was born.
   Due to being the kingdom's only heir, James was spoiled almost entirely rotten. With both his parents having wanted a child for years they spoiled the ever-loving crap out of this kid. So it's safe to assume he had a rather great childhood.
   Although, Unlike most kids when he came of age for schooling he had private lessons. Having separate tutors for each class, plus the classes every Royal is expected to endure. Being the only kid in the castle had its downcasts and he was often extremely lonely, usually found curled up with a book. As books contained the only friends he has ever known.
   Coming of age was rather hard for him as he didn't know what to expect. His father constantly gave him talks about the change he was going through and how he would soon be attracted to women in a way he had never been before. Although that never came, Well the changes did in fact but the attraction towards women didn't. Though he did notice an extreme attraction towards men he kept that to himself fearing he had messed up somehow. His father hadn't explained it that way, so he must have done something wrong.
   Princesses came and went with the Royal balls. James put on an act of attraction and charms towards each one of them. But, He had never felt any attraction toward none and he didn't want to fake a romance that didn't exist. That would only hurt some dame in the end.
   It was during his late teens when he finally had his 'teen romance' his mother talked about so often. The books had described it as something else entirely but it wasn't like he could describe it any better. He fell for one of the young knights that trained on the palace grounds. He would watch him train for hours while pretending to read until finally one day he approached and introduced himself and the two started going out. It was secrets and kisses for months until the young knight started to grow distant from his Prince. He scared James and he confronted him in a heated argument, the young knight said he would tell James' parents. This of course startled James to the core and the next day the young knight was being sent far, far away from Valarie.
   The next few years continued as they should have. Although, James started to become more mischievous and much more secretive. Often playing pranks and jokes on the maids and knights and as always never getting caught.
