"Tío Cosa! Tío Terry!" called Rubio from the car as he cradled the small pup in his left arm.

Street had just parked by the front of the house, hoping that Luca could enlighten him with comforting words after spending 5 minutes listening to Chris yell at him. Both brothers made it out to the porch but froze when they saw the dog in the kids arm.

"Oh, you are so dead, Jim!" said Terry said giggling and shaking his head

"Dude, he is so cute!"Luca said going for the dog

"His name is Topo! Topito!" Rubio said excited, as he handed the dog to Luca

The pup absolutely loved Luca, for it began barking and licking him instantly.

"He likes you!" Rubio said happily

"I love dogs! Where did you get him?"

"My cousin and I find him in the park in Long Beach."

"That's cool. What did Chris say?" Terry asked curious petting the pup in Luca's arms

"She yelled at pops...but she say to me it's ok. So...relax!" he said with a smirk, as Luca and Terry shook their heads

"That's not funny, at all!" Street complained exiting the vehicle slowly, hands on his hips

"Alright, c'mon, let's get 'im some water" Luca said gesturing for him to come in, "Bro, can you help the kid out?"

"Sure." Terry said as he opened the door and stood at the frame as Luca handed the pup back to Rubio. The boy made it in and Terry followed, closing the door behind him.

"Luca, I need a beer! No, you know what? Make that a pack!" Street said frustrated, approaching Luca. Both men went inside and Street immediately grabbed a cold one from the fridge. He took the cap off and began downing it as if it was water.

"Dude, you definitely gotta clean the apartment now." Luca said giggling

He took a break from drinking, shook his head, put the bottle down and said, "I'm in so much trouble, Luca...like, deep! She sees that dog put a leg up on the couch or anywhere in the apartment and I'm pretty much dead. Please tell me I can crash here in case she kicks my ass out!"

"Yeah, bro. You don't even have to ask. But uh...you gotta house train that dog, asap!"

"Yeah, kid set up classes this week." he paused as they went to the living room. Luca sat on the couch, as Street stood resting his backs on the side wall, "I went to see Chris today."

"Where?"

"Downtown"

"Woah! Really?"he said excited, then changed his expression to a worried frown, "Everything ok? You wouldn't make that trip for nothing. I know you!"

"I wanted to talk to her." he answered slowly, with a sad expression on his face

"About the black box?"

Street nodded slowly, quietly.

"Judging by your sad eyes, it didn't go so well, huh?"

He took a deep breath. "She pretty much shut me down before I even asked."

"What?" Luca asked confused

"Said-" he began

BZZZZT

BZZZZT

He was interrupted by the vibration in his pants pocket.

"Um...hey Luca?" Street called as he read the text
