I felt the car stop and I opened my eyes. Tony had pulled into a parking lot by the beach. I smiled to myself and got out of the car walking over to the railing leaning over it and breathing in the warm comforting salty air.
Tony walked up next to me and looked out to the ocean. The sun was low in the sky, it was almost sunset.
"You wanna go for a walk?" Tony asked me. I smiled at him and started walking towards the wooden sidewalk the lead to the sand, Tony wasn't too far behind me.
I stopped at the end of the wooden pathway and kicked off my flip flops and rolled by my skinny jeans making them kapris. Tony did the same and we walked down towards the water together.
We walked in silence for awhile until we stopped and sat down to watch the sunset.
"You sure you can handle it?" He asked.
I looked at him confused, "What are you talking about?"
"Tonight, do you think you can handle it?"
"Oh I mean I guess, it's not like I had a choice or anything," I said while looking at him.
His eyes were fixated on the water and it was almost like he was off in his own other world. I could tell he was deep in thought because the way his eyebrows were scrunched together. His jaw was clenched and his hands were in a fist.
"Uhh Tony is something bothering you?" I asked while waving my hand over his face.
"I just don't know if this is such a good idea, maybe I was wrong I don't think your ready for this," he said while turning his eyes towards me. He looked into my eyes as if he was looking for something, an answer, a sign, anything really.
"What do you mean? I can handle anything," I said with a smirk.
"Yeah I guess so, but this is gonna be totally different experience then staying up till four writing a paper Bays."
"Yeah I figured that one Einstein, but if I get too out of control just make sure I don't loose my V card okay?"
"Don't worry I got your back," He said while turning back to the water.
I looked towards it too. Can I handle it? I mean I think I can, but this is my first major party. I've drank before but it was only a few sips here and there. I just hope I don't get too drunk that I can't remember anything, especially not to loose my virginity to some random guy. All this stuff rushed through my head as Tony and I watched the sun slowly sink into the water.
"Come on, lets go and get you ready for your transformation," he said while grabbing my hand to help me up. I took it and we walked back to the wooden pathway to get our shoes.
Once we got our shoes we walked back to the car and got in. Tony backed out of the parking space and started the hour drive back to his house. I slowly dozed off, hoping that tonight would only be but so bad.
