Marinette was left alone in her bed, wearing nothing but her bra. She was staring towards the window through which Chat had left only seconds ago.

"Marinette? Are you going to get dressed or do you want me to transform you as you are right now? Not that Chat would mind, of course." Tikki teased her guardian.

"What? No, let me get on my tracksuit at least. I still can't believe Hawkmoth was Chat's father. Someone so close to him."

"Save that reaction for Chat Noir. You have to look really surprised when he tells you in like five minutes." Tikki reminded Marinette.

"But what about the identity reveal, Tikki? If I let him reveal himself to Marinette, then Marinette should tell him she's Ladybug. But what if he hates me for lying to him. For rejecting him so many times as Ladybug while flirting with him as Marinette? What if..."

"Only one way to find out, stop overthinking and get dressed."

"OK, I'm ready... I think. Spots on."

As Ladybug was approaching the cathedral of Notre Dame, she spotted Chat Noir on its roof right behind the left tower. She sighed knowing she had to follow through. When she swung her yo yo to land next to Chat, she almost pulled him in for a hug, but stopped herself just in time. Hugs and kisses could wait for after the serious conversation. Hopefully.

"So, kitty, how did it go with Hawkmoth?" Yep, no time to waste, jump right in.

"Here's the butterfly miraculous." Replied Chat, the brooch in his outstretched hand.

"And the peacock?" Ladybug asked as she took it from him.

"Mayura won't hurt us either. I trust her." He assured her.

"How can you be so sure? Do you know both of their identities?" Ladybug almost yelled.

"Nathalie Sancoeur and Gabriel Agreste. They were Mayura and Hawkmoth." Chat said, his voice broken and his eyes at his feet. He didn't want to tell their names to anyone. But he'd already kind of told Marinette and LB deserved to know. Chat looked up just in time to see Ladybug take a step backwards, trip and start falling off the roof, almost as if she'd just fainted.

And she did. Her head was spinning, her vision blurry as neither her brain nor heart could believe the math. Hawkmoth. Chat's father. Gabriel Agreste. Meaning Chat. Adrien. What. The. Fuck?

Chat quickly jumped after her to catch his lady mid-fall and extended his baton to land in a park behind the cathedral. While still in his arms, Ladybug opened her eyes and... kissed him.

Whoa, was he not ready for that. Now it was his turn to feel all dizzy. He kissed her back for what felt like forever, although it probably was just a split second, but he soon came to his senses and pushed her away so fiercely she almost fell to the ground. Chat shook his head, not able to look at her.

"This is wrong. I don't want this. Not anymore. Why would you do that? Please, stay away from me. Goodbye, Ladybug."
