2. Bad Things Happened

The next day has come and Gilbert and Violet has to go. Before, i gave Violet a hug as goodbye and they left. I thought that they will come to visit us but this never happened. I heard that the war started to be more dangerous and i was never allowed to go there again. I was angry. Not because i wasn't allowed to go, but a little girl needs to fight there when i am stuck here. It's been months already. Nothing happened. I don't know what should i think. Mom tries to make me happy but it's impossible.

3 YEARS LATER

Nothing new. I am still very scared of what happened. I am waiting for somebody to come and inform us of what happened. What if...no,i should stop thinking about this. There's no way they died. I just have to wait.

MONTHS LATER

I'm now 14. I was on the couch starting to lose hope that i will get news. But i hear somebody at the door. I ran to see who it was. I saw the man with a feminine name Claudia Hodgins. I know that he is in the army too. We even talked

Hodgins:Hello Y/n

Y/n:Hello mr.Claudia

Hodgins:I told you to stop calling me like that

Y/n:I don't want to call you like the others do, it's too formal

Hodgins:You're right, you can call me Mr.President

Y/n:It's not a very big difference...wait,president?

Hodgins:I will explain it to you later. Where is your mom?

M/n:I am here

Hodgins:Can we have a talk?

M/n:Of course

We sit and we let Claudia talk

Hodgins:I want you to know that the war ended

M/n:Finally, where is my husband?

Hodgins:Your husband has more things to do before

I was so happy to hear the war has ended. Now Gilbert will come with Violet home

Y/n:What about Gilbert, whe he didn't come to inform us then?

Hodgins:I am scared that...we didn't find his body. So he can actually be...

What? Gilbert is dead? I can't believe this. I look at mom and she starts to cry hearing this

Hodgins:It still can be hope that he is alive, the army will try their vest to find him-

Y/n:What about Violet?

Hodgins:Do you mean that girl that was used as a weapon?

I get up and grab him by the collar

Y/n:Don't you dare to name her a weapon! Where is she?

I shout. He looked at me with surprise

M/n:Y/n, let him!

Y/n:No! I need to know what happened to Violet

Hodgins:Violet is alive...

Y/n:That's good

I feel relieved hearing these words. But still i lost my cousin

Hodgins:But she is really hurt

Y/n:What?!?

Hodgins:That's how we found her. Alone and almost dead. She is now at the hospital

Y/n:I need to see her

Hodgins:I didn't even got to go there. What about when she will get out, i will take you with me after her

Y/n:If this is the only way i can see her then...i accept this
