After meeting up with Momo Bakugou has been ferrying back and forth between work and Kiri's cave, making quite the set up for himself, and the dragon. Making sure to take extra good care of his wounded scaled beast. Though they were healing at an alarming rate the dragon still found it difficult to move extensively though his apatite on the other hand hadn't changed in the slightest. The blond bringing him massive cuts of beautifully cooked meats he'd buy in bulk, sometimes they were uncooked if he was lazy or late. The cave now had a much homier vibe to it Bakugou had brought massive fluffy blankets to litter the floor which Kiri had become incredibly attached to. Whenever Bakugou would leave for work he always come back to Kiri hording all the blankets in a large heap with him piled up on top, curled up fast asleep with his new favourite possession, the little plushie.
The two had fallen into a happy little routine, Bakugou would work either from 12pm-closing or 8am-3pm. Spending a couple hours by himself usually cooking Kiri food or grabbing essentials before inevitably spending the rest of his time with the scarlet dragon. Though even after weeks of the same routine Kiri still had a conniption fit every time the blond dared to leave. These few weeks the blond had been spending with Kiri, though he wouldn't dare tell anyone had been some of the best weeks of his life. His sleeping with up, he felt less lonely, for the first time in years he was genuinely happy. He spent most night curled up with the dragon watching the fire they build smoulder and crackle, but a sadness lingered. He knew this it wouldn't, it couldn't last forever.
The snoozing blond was startled by small movements in the cave's bowels. The man awoke perplexed, trying to focus his tired eyes on the noises, but the cave was too dark for his eyes to discern anything. So, the male decided to roll over and return to his previous state of slumber. On the hard dirt floor, decorated in blankets to make sleeping more comfortable for them both. he curled his body to make himself as comfortable as possible. Despite a couple more comparable incidents later throughout the night, the blond was never again fully awoken.
Soft golden light began to pool in the cave's dark entrance, ushering in the morning. The still-dozing blond stretched his back slightly, unknowingly cuddling back into the warm, soft mass next to him. Long muscular fingers began to run through Bakugou's messy, blonde hair as he made himself at ease.
"Mmm.... that feels nice," the docile blond mumbled slowly, stuck somewhere between total unconsciousness and slightly less than total unconsciousness. The unidentified presence chuckled as they continued to comb their fingers through the male's soft hair, carefully untangling any knots they encountered. The blond nuzzled his head into the presence, making incoherent noises as he slowly came to.
As the morning finally broke through, illuminating the whole cave, the blonds, sub-conscience, found it harder and harder to keep hold of its slumbered state. After a few minutes, Bakugou managed to open his tired eyes, trying to get his fatigued mind to focus on what was going on. Lifting his head up slightly, his big, sleepy eyes slowly began taking in his surroundings.
"Morning," a soothing voice stated, breaking the dawn silence. As soon as Bakugou heard the voice speaking to him, it was like some sort of switch went off in the blond's head, activating his fight or flight response. His brain finally understood the situation he was in. This in turn only made the male angry and embarrassed, which then only made him more enraged, creating an unescapable cycle.
"What?! Who the fuck do you think you are? You bastard!" The man screamed fiercely, leaping to his feet, aggressively messing up his hair again and assuming a basic fighting position, ready to murder anyone who dared to step to him.
"Hmm?" "Wait, what is wrong?" The mystery guy inquired, his head twisting in every direction in an attempt to figure out what was bothering the enraged blond male. When the figure realised, they were the only two people in the cave, he realised Bakugou was yelling at him.
