"You're free to bring any friends or a special someone," Seigi's friend winked.

Seigi blushed at the thought of his "special someone" whilst twiddling his thumbs.

Seigi was invited to a party that was being hosted by one of the popular university students. He had been told that it was being held in this grand hall; almost everyone who has any slight interest in parties is coming.

Seigi thought about who to take. All of his friends went to his university, so it was pointless in asking them.

What about Richard?  No, no, there's no way Richard likes parties, is there?  And even if he did, why would he come with me to a random party he knows nothing about?

Seigi stood still as a statue while pondering whether he should invite his dear boss. After staying still for quite some time, Seigi decided to ask Richard on his next shift at the Jewellers.

Seigi's next shift arrived shortly; poor Seigi felt nervous. He was wiping down a bench in the kitchen when he heard Richard walk to him.

"Is something the matter, Seigi?" Richard asked softly.

Seigi's lips parted, and he let out a small sigh. "Well, there is something I have been meaning to ask you."

Richard tilts his head to the right. "Oh, what is it?"

"There's this big party that mostly everyone in my university is going to, and we are allowed to invite other people, so I was hoping you'd go with me."

Richard's eyes widened, but they softened as he spoke. "Sure, I'll go with you."

Seigi tried to hold in a big smile he could feel coming, but it was too strong to hold back. A blush bloomed on Richard's face when he saw how happy Seigi was.

"So, does Saturday night work?"

"Indeed it does."

"Okay cool! Meet me outside of the train station?"

"Alright, see you there."

Seigi walked to their meeting place; he saw Richard already standing there. Seigi quickened his pace when he saw his face. Richard noticed Seigi was walking toward him, and he turned in his direction.

Once Seigi made it to Richard, he let out a big grin. Richard looked into Seigi's eyes and smiled softly, leaving flustered Seigi speechless.

Soon, they got a taxi and drove to where the party was held. Seigi looked over to Richard whilst they were in the car. He looked at the beautiful clothes Richard was wearing and smiled to himself.

Richard wore a plain white shirt with a navy blue waistcoat and trousers, while Seigi wore a  white shirt and some plain black pants. Richard caught Seigi admiring him and furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

At last, the two made it to the grand hall. The doors were open and through them, you could see a crowd of people inside. They walked in, and their ears were instantly filled with music. People were dancing, chatting and drinking.

Richard and Seigi made it to an area where it wasn't crowded and had seats. As they were about to sit down, a girl who wore a red, silky dress, came up to Richard and grabbed his arm.

"Richard!" I shouted to him with one arm extended. The girl had taken him to a quiet seating area, and she started chatting with him. She was super happy. Seigi felt his chest tighten as he watched them. Richard didn't seem interested in the slightest, but still, Seigi didn't dare to pull him out of their conversation.

"Seigi?" He heard a familiar voice behind him say.

He looked behind him and Tanimoto was looking at Seigi with worry on her face. She put her hand on his left shoulder and patted it.

"Is everything okay?" she asked.

"It's nothing, don't worry."

She looked over to where Seigi was looking. Tanimoto saw the beautiful man sitting there, and she understood what was happening.

"Is that your boss, Richard?"

"Mhm," Seigi replied with his eyebrows furrowed.

"Oh, I see. You must really like Richard then, hm?"

"I-"

"Tanimoto!, come dance with us," a girl said holding Tanimoto's arm.

"Oh, but-"

"Come on!" She pulled her off into the crowd, leaving Seigi alone again.

Seigi stares at Richard again with a worried face. Richard could feel someone watching him, so he looked around and saw poor Seigi. When their eyes met, both of them felt a weird feeling in their stomach. But it didn't last long, as Seigi looked away, walking into the crowds of people.

Richard finally stood up and tried to get away from the girl. She started clinging onto his arm, but Richard had had enough, so he pulled his arm away from her. He saw Seigi walk into the crowd; he went in that direction.

"Seigi!" Richard shouted.

After being pushed around in the crowd for a few minutes, Richard made it out and saw Seigi sitting on some stairs. He strolled toward him and took a seat by him.

Richard turned his head to Seigi and frowned. "Seigi, are you okay?"

There was a brief pause before he answered. "I'm fine. You should go back to that girl," Seigi replied with a hint of anger.

"W-What do you mean?"

"You should talk with some other people instead of hanging out with me."

"Seigi..." Richard took Seigi's right hand, holding it tightly. "I'm not interested in talking with anyone else."

Seigi looked back at Richard with watery eyes. He clung his arms around Richard's waist tightly and buried his face in his chest. "I don't want you to talk with anyone else.." Seigi mumbled.

Richard managed to hear what he said and chuckled. Richard then put his arms around Seigi's back; he lowered his head so it was next to the other boy's. "I won't. I promise."

Seigi felt a tear roll down his face after Richard had said that. He tightened his grip and nuzzled his face into Richard even more.

The rest of the party felt silent to them both. All they could hear was each other's heartbeats.

Tanimoto was with her friends, and she turned around to find a bathroom; there she laid her eyes upon Seigi and his dear Richard. She smiled to herself as she watched them.

I'm glad you have Richard, Seigi. He really is your other half.
