It's been a week.

It has now been a week since Kimberley was chased out of her own office and forced to stay home after allegedly 'overworking herself these past few months'. her secretary's words, not her's. If you ask Kimberley, she thought her secretary was just being absurd. The coily-haired woman had never done anything of the sort, she just occasionally got caught up in her work and sometimes forgot to eat her meals, but it wasn't that bad. Kimberley worked as the head designer of her clothing brand IMPLICITE. She was also the founder which meant more responsibilities and significantly more work even though she had a decent amount of employees.

Although Kimberley deemed her work ethics normal, they were taking a huge toll on her health and her mental. She spent almost all her days and nights in her office working, running on coffee and over 4 hours of sleep these past months. One morning, after another long day of work and very short night of sleep, she woke up with the same dark circles imprinted around her eyes, her braids all messed up in her face and to her secretary, who was standing right next to her desk, wearing the brightest smile on her face.

Who knew the smile on the secretary's face meant that the dark-skinned woman would be banished from her office and forbidden from working.

"You think you're so smart huh? Driving me out of my own office and telling me not to work?" she huffed, stomping her fluffy unicorn slippers on the floor in frustration through the corridors of her house, remembering how she was quite literally deported from her own office by her own employee. She stopped at the end of the hall and opened a door that led to a spacious study. It had a desk identical to the one in her office positioned in the middle of the room in front of two wide windows with the curtains closed that showed the house's whole garden as well as a direct view of the koi pond that she had been nurturing during her period of boredom.

Kimberley had been home for a week with nothing to do. She usually has little to no free time as she spends the entirety of her time working, so all this newfound free time was very new to her and she had no clue what to do with all of it. In the beginning, it was somewhat enjoyable. She had caught up on many missing hours of sleep, got hooked on some new mafia series, and even took her braids down by herself for the first time in a long time as she always had her hair done for her by others directly to not waste time. But after the first couple of days, she found herself bored once again, with nothing else to do except stay in bed for excessive hours or walk around her house like a lost dog.

"Kim, you work too much, kim you're overworking yourself. Well screw you. Who are you to tell me I shouldn't work?" she cursed her secretary one more time, looking through her work bag that she hadn't touched since the last time she went to work. "Where the hell did I put my fucking ipad?" she dug through her bag, searching for the ipad she normally used for all her work related business but couldn't find it.

"I could've sworn I put it in my bag before leaving." Suddenly, she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket and saw a new notification in the messages app. 'I knew you'd be looking for your ipad soooo i hid it from last time you were in the office luv u xx' it was a text from her secretary.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me." she sighed in disappointment after reading that text, regretting hiring Satan as a secretary "pen and paper it is." she said in defeat, rummaging the study for a pen and one of her uncompleted sketchbooks

"Where the fuck did I put the god damn pens?" she muttered, looking through the cabinets and finding them empty.

"Aha! A pen! It was about motherfucking time." she placed all her materials on her desk and ended up sketching the whole night. She had come up with multiple designs, the majority of which ended up either crossed out in red ink or crumpled up and thrown to the floor sitting next to the feet of the desk. Eventually, she laid her head on her desk next to all her designs and succumbed to the slumber weighing on her eyelids.

"Wakey wakey little birdy~" a loud voice echoed through the study and into Kimberley's ears.

"Wow, you look like crap." The dark-skinned woman groaned and lifted her head from the desk to look up to the voice, "Good morning to you too Tae." she said groggily, meeting the sunglass-covered eyes of Tae, one of her closest friends, making his way towards the little sofa right next to the desk.

"What crawled in here and died." Another one of her friends, Vegas, walked in after Tae. "And why the hell is it so dark in here? Open a goddamn window for christ's sake." Vegas walked towards the curtains behind the desk and opened them up widely, letting the harsh beams of sunlight seep through and illuminate the once dark study.

"Vegas, please. Shut up." Kimberley stood from her seat at her desk and stretched out her stiff limbs, pushing up the formerly falling glasses so they could sit back on her nose. "It's too early for your bullshit."

"Motherfucker it's literally 1 in the afternoon." Vegas looked at his friend in disbelief. "It is beyond too early."

"Damn." She walked towards the sofa and sat next to Tae. "1pm? already?"

"Is something wrong? You seem stressed, is it work?" Tae asked, his voice laced with concern.

"Yeah, your face looks shittier than usual- ouch Tae!" Vegas held his arm in pain after receiving a hit from Tae.

"It's just that I have no inspiration. All my sketches turn out all the same, and i've been bored out of my fucking brains at home because i got fucking exiled from my own office." Kimberley sighed in exasperation with her head in her hands.

"Wait a minute. Why the hell are you two dressed like that?" Kimberley pointed out her friends' clothing choices, the two of them wearing very brightly colored outfits. Vegas wore a deep pink Hawaiian shirt adorned with a white floral print, sporting white shorts that stopped a bit above his knee. To go with the theme, Tae also wore a Hawaiian shirt, his being black, embellished with big white flowers and blue leaves around them, he also wore a pair of denim shorts that stopped around the middle of his thigh. Both of them wearing dark designer sunglasses that pushed their hair to the back and out of their faces.

"Damn it, i was just about to get to that.'' Vegas walked towards Kimberley and put his arm around her shoulders, swaying her back and forth. "Anyways, you know how Tae and I love you so much right, and how we appreciate you so much as a frie-" the woman slapped her hand across her friend's mouth stopping him from pronouncing his next words. "You talk too much. Get to the point." she said with a smirk on her face. Her smirk didn't last long after she felt something wet on the hand she placed on Vegas's mouth. Vegas had licked her hand. She gave him a look of disgust and immediately removed her hand from the other's mouth. "Ewww! Vegass!" the woman whined, wiping her friend's slobber on his shirt. "Well, dear friend, since you so politely asked, I booked us three a trip to thailand! Woohoo!'' Vegas pulled out three plane tickets in excitement with a smile brighter than the sun resting on his face.

Kimberley looked at Vegas, her jaw dropping at what she had just heard. Completely shocked, she felt like she could faint at any moment. "This is a joke, right? Tell me this is a joke." she turned her head to Tae, him being the most reasonable of the three, hoping for him to reassure her that this was just Vegas pulling another one of his stupid pranks.

Tae stood up from the sofa and walked towards the two others, his hand resting on Kimberley's shoulder and gave her a small smile "We got you a shirt too if that makes you feel any better."

"No way in fucking hell." the darker skinned woman muttered, still not processing the words coming out of her friends' mouths. "Well? What are you waiting for? We don't have all-day kimi! Get your shit ready so we can fucking go!" Vegas jumped up, his excitement levels probably going through the roof right now. "Fuck me." she uttered under her breath, her shoulders drooping in defeat, with no energy left in her body to fight with any of her friends at all as she pushed her body to the study's door and towards her room to start packing.

"I'm gay." Tae responded

"And I respect myself." Vegas added with his annoying shit eating grin.

"Fuck you both."
