Angst

Sorry if its bad, I'm tired

Small tears dripped from Mark's face. His body trembling under him. The alternate cooing for Mark to exit his room.

It had been like this for what seemed like forever. Mark knew his time was almost done, he felt it coming, slowly, towards him. "Go...Away," he mumbled, unable to understand what he said.

His tear's started to fall faster, his head now in his hands. He couldn't help but think about what he has done in his life, and what he had done in their life.

He felt useless. As if his life was meaningless. He thought about what his family would say when they found him dead. He felt as if he didn't do enough for them; he thought about how he couldn't have prevented this.

The alternate cooed more, wishing they could just tear into Mark's flesh. But instead, they waited for Mark to slowly drive insane. They waited for Mark to decide that he would be better off dying than trying to escape.

Mark thought about escaping, he had a window in his room. But his fear wouldn't let him. He was on the 2nd floor, it would be difficult to get out without the Alternate knowing.

...

Thud!

...

Mark shot up, he looked around. His door was still closed. For the Alternate, they assumed that Mark is looking around.

Mark looked around more, he stood up slowly, prepared for the Alternate to pop out. He took a deep breath, slamming open his closet to find nothing. He slowly calmed down. Before going and sitting back on his bed.

Tap

"What the hell?" Mark stood up, looking at his window. "Mark!!" A voice cooed, tapping on the window some more.

The voice was human, the gender was unknown to mark. Mark slowly walked to the window, before he lifted the curtains.

"Y/n!" He whisper shouted. Y/n giggled. "Sorry Mark, the front door was locked!" Mark rolled his eyes. "Whatever, go home!" Y/n shook their head, indicating they weren't going anywhere.

"I'm busy Y/n! Just go away!" Mark half screamed. He wanted them to go before the Alternate got them as well. "Mark are you okay? You have tears dripping everywhere," Y/n asked, crawling into Mark's room.

"Yes! I'm fine just go away!" Mark said. Y/n stepped closer, Mark turning away. "Just g-" Mark got cut off by the Alternate still cooing.

Y/n looked at the door, fear-filled their eyes. "Mark..." They mumbled. Mark covered their mouth, before dragging them towards the window again.

"Look Y/n, you were never here. Just go home." Y/n looked at Mark, slow tears forming in their eyes. They jumped on Mark, wrapping their arm's around him. They began to sob on Mark's shoulder.

"No. I'm not leaving you with that thing.." Mark sighed, wrapping his arm's around Y/n's back. "I need you to go, you don't have to deal with my problems."

Y/n turned to Mark, a waterfall of tears streaming down their face. "I'm not leaving you!" They shouted, Mark, shooting his head towards the door.

"Y/n! This is no time to be stubborn! Just go home! Please, I'm not asking you again!" Mark shouted back, tears falling from his eyes.

Y/n put their head down, not wanting to piss him off more; but they also didn't want to lose him, not yet.

"Look Y/n, I didn't mean to shout out to you.." Mark began, only to be interrupted by Y/n wrapping their arm's around him, digging their head in his chest. Both of them stood in silence.

Mark dug his head in their shoulder, gripping onto them like they were his lost child. "I-i'm sorry.."
