"We finally made it to the Masters Tournament!"

Standing in front of Wyndon Stadium, cheering while one of his fists raised was Ash. Excitement coursed through his entire body at the thought of battling the strongest trainers the world had to offer.

"Isn't this exciting, Pikachu!?," Ash asked his partner Pokémon that sat on his shoulder. "We finally have a chance to battle Leon again!"

"Pika-pika!," Pikachu agreed, imitating his trainer by raising one of his paws and cheering.

Standing to the right of the ecstatic trainer and his electric-type Pokémon with the Galarian grass-type partner Pokémon Grookey on one of his shoulders was one of Ash's friends, Goh.

"We'll be cheering you on the entire time," Goh promised before turning to his right. "Right, May?"

Once he saw that there wasn't anybody standing next to him, Goh went bug-eyed before frantically looking around him.

"What the-!? Where did she go!? She was here just a second ago!"

Taking notice of May's sudden disappearance, Ash began looking around to see where she might have gone off to.

"That's weird. Where could she have gone off to?," Ash asked no one in particular, scratching the side of his head in confusion.

Suddenly, Ash's Rotom Phone began vibrating, prompting him to take it out of his pocket.

"It's a message from May."

Goh moved closer to Ash to try and see the message.

"What's it say?"

"'Just need to go get something. I'll be back soon,'" Ash read before putting his phone away.

Sweat rolled down Goh's neck as he tried to hide his exasperation with May's antics with a smile.

"Couldn't she have told us that before she decided to leave?"

"I wonder what she's doing?," Ash pondered.

Before Ash and Goh could wonder further, a voice coming from the far left of Ash called out to him.

"Hey, Ash! Goh! Over here!"

This person's voice brought a smile to Ash's face as he knew who the person calling him and Goh was. Turning towards the direction of where the voice came from, Ash and Goh saw that it was none other than their friend, Hop.

"Hey, Hop!," Ash waved to his fast-approaching friend.

"It's nice to see you again!," Goh added.

"It's nice to see you too," Hop smirked as he got closer to his friends.

Once Hop was right in front of Ash and Goh, one Pokéball from around Ash's belt and one Poké Ball from Hop's belt opened on their own. Out from Ash's Poké Ball came a red scarf-clad Cinderace. Out of Hop's Pokéball came a Pokémon his brother Leon gave him: Inteleon.

"Huh?," Ash grunted, confused by what had just happened.

"Inteleon? What are you doing?," Hop asked his Pokémon, equally as confused as Ash by what their Pokémon were doing.

Ignoring their trainers, Cinderace and Inteleon went up to each other.

"Cinder!," Cinderace greeted Inteleon excitedly.
