A long sigh was heard when [y/n] [l/n] opened her locker.
"Again..." you thought while your best friend laught.
-[y/n] you're so popular. She said with an ironic tone.
-It's not funny ! I'm tired of this ! You said while taking all the letters that were in your locker.
-More seriously, they just want a chance. You should find a partner for the prom, they will let you alone after.
-Yeah but who ? The half of the boys are annoying and chasing for me..You sighed again, leaning against your locker.
-That's the problem...You both looked down and thinking about a solution to your problem.

Actually, [y/n] was really popular among guys in her school, and since the prom is in few weeks, they all took their chance. She received many letters, too many, since the previous 2 weeks.
The problem is that all the boys fell for her, but only for her good looking, they didn't know her but "love" her. It's annoyed her, because of that she also didn't had a partner. She really wanted to but she didn't want one of those supids boys.

You were thinking when you heard another sigh came from the locker in front of yours. You raised you head to see Afuro Terumi, better known as "Aphrodi", the most popular boy of the school and the captain of the soccer team.
Like you, he sighed because of the moutain of letter in his locker. "Poor him" you thought "and he has more than me".
Even if you didn't really like him, he was known as arrogant and egocentric you felt sorry for him.
But that view makes you smile, and it has not gone unnoticed by [b/f/n], who smiled you back.
-Ok Maybe it's a little funny to see someone like that. You said while laugh a bit.
-Why don't you ask him to be your partner ?
-W-What ?! Because I don't care of him ! I'm not one of his fangirls.
And before your friend talk again you took her arm and say :

Only one week left before the prom. And of course the letters and the propositions have been multiplied, for [y/n] as for Afuro, but they both keep rejected them.

It was friday at the end of class, and the prom was the next friday, when [Y/n] get an other proposal.
-Please can you be my partner for the prom ? A boy talked while looking down and blushing.
To look polite you didn't sigh even if you wanted to, and simply replied
-Sorry, but I refuse.
-But why ? You refuse all the invitation, the prom is in one week and you still doesn't have a partner ! Give me a chance !

Ok he's annoying.This one annoyed you more than the others. You wanted to be rude but seeing Afuro walking at the back gave you an idea.

-Sorry but I already have a partner. You said with a smile.
-And..who ?
-Afuro Terumi.
The boy looked as shocked as Afuro, who heard the end of the conversation.
-Now, sorry but I have to go. You smiled to him and leave while dragging Afuro away with you.

-What are you doing ? He finally spoke when you were outside.
And why did you say that ? I never accepted to have you as my partner. He said while crossing his arms.
-I just wanted those boys to leave me alone. I know you're also annoyed because of your fangirls.
-And who told you that ?
-I saw your reaction when you received all these letters. So excuse me, but you didn't look happy..

-Tss. Don't say that. They annoy me. And I'm not egocentic so shut up.
-Anyway. So, do you accept to be my fake partner for the prom ? It be good for you, these girls will finally let you.

-I think I don't really have the choice. Deal.
-But we are nothing more than just partner. You said coldly but with a bit of embarrassment.

He smiled and walked towards you, until you were only inches apart.
-Trust me, you will fall for me too, like them.
You suddenly became red and shouted while pushing him away.
-You're really arrogant Afuro ! I will never fall for someone like you !

Bye bye [y/n] see you Tomorrow. He smirked and walk away.
During that time you just looked at him. " such a jerk !" You thought, and you started to walk too.

The week before the prom was really different.
Actually Afuro started to be close to you, he talked to you often, to not say flirt. He seems enjoy teasing you for example by calling you "my beautiful partner" in front of the whole class.
Your bestfriend seems enjoy to see you embarassed like that. "Treason" you thought.

But even if Afuro acted weird, by teasing you or flirting, you also discover a part of his personality that you didn't know, and that only few person knew.
You thought he was only arrogant and egocentric but sometimes he was also a really sweet person, who really cared about the others.
And finally, you started to liked him. It wasn't love, for now, but you really liked him. You liked the relationship you had with him, you liked when he teases you, when he's flirty, you also liked the other part of his personality. You liked him.

The day of the prom has finally came. You and your best friend spend the afternoon together, talking about the rumors of the school, the classes, the boys....
Of course you knew what was going to happen and you tries to change the subject of the discussion...But [b/f/n] was faster.
-You're quite close to Afuro now...I thought you wouldn't "fell for someone like him". She said, teasing you.
-I don't love him,  I was wrong about him, he's kinda nice, that's all !
-If you say so.
-Anyway, we must dress up or we'll be late.
You try to talk about something else but of course she kept talking about him.

At 8pm you finally started to walk to the prom, and finally [b/f/n] stopped teasing you.
-I have to go, someone is waiting for me. Have a good time ! She gave you a wink and left to join a boy of your class.
You was waiting for Afuro when the annoying boy came to you.
-I thought you had a partner.
-I do. I'm waiting for him.
-You can stay with me. I'm better than him.
You were about to answer when someone grab your waist.
-Do you really think you're better than me ?
It was Afuro.
Sorry for the late my beautiful partner. He said, emphasizing particularly the last words.
-You see ? My partner is here. Afuro, Let's go. And you started walking away from him.

You spend the night together, sometimes he introduces some of his friend of the soccer club to you, and you introduce yours. You were closer than ever. You were flirting as always, but something was different.

At 1am the prom finally ended, and after that of course Afuro walks you home, holding your hand.
During the journey you keep talking about anything and everything, when you finally arrived at your house.
-Thanks for today, Afuro.
-It's okay. It helped me too.
You both look away, embarassed.
After that you remember, it was only for the prom. You said it yourself "We're nothing more than partners". But you didn't want to.
-Are we still...friends ? You asked with a sad look.
-Yeah, of course. Suddenly it's as if he remember what you said too.
And like the first time you talked about the prom he came closer to you.
But...I thought you will never fell for a guy like me hmm ? He adds, teasing you.
-I need more time to fell for someone. Bad for you. You replied, teasing him too.
And, I think you're the one who fell for me. Am-I wrong ? You said with a confident look.
He laugh a little before getting even closer to you. You imediatly lose your confidence.
His forehead is now against yours, and you could feel his breath.
-Yeah, that's true. I already fell for you.
If you need more time, then you'll have all the time you need. I'll wait for you.
