Pride

A curse, that's what I'd call it

A devil that I can't deny

Where did it come from?

That's never a question to ask

Its been there since the start of time

We didn't give it any thought

After all, isn't it just another characteristic that we humans have?

That's because,

Its everything at a time

yet nothing the same time

That's what you have to know by yourself

Some say a devil

While some say, a savior

And others say they don't have it

so who knows

you say you don't care about it

Everyone has it

You ask why I say that everyone has pride?

That's because its the undeniable truth

Everyone has pride

You need pride to stand tall at events

You need pride to confess

You even need pride to let go

Even to get down on your knees and beg
