"What are you doing?" Her soft laughs greet my ears. I was so beat after training, that I crashed on top of her. She was in my room all day reading, eating and working. Her laying there was just temptation, and I took the bait.
"Don't know what you're talking about," I mumble against her soft, delicate neck. How does she manage to smell this good every time? "You're my sweet girl."
"Seb," her laughs are mixed with soft moans, as I begin placing soft kisses on her skin. Her complexion reminded me of caramel. Her gentle hands played with my ears, lulling me to sleep, while mine roamed her body. She had one her blue shorts and crop top. I loved running my hands on her warm, exposed skin. "How was training the new recruits?"
"Ass," I groaned. "I have a meeting later, too. I just want to sleep," I mumbled into her neck. I heard a book close and pens fall.
"Sleep here then. I'm done with work for the day, anyway," she hugs me tighter, before running her hands up and down my back.
She's an Angel.
Imagine being twenty feet away from the love of your life and you can't hold them, kiss them, love them. I've been insufferable for the last month and a half. I see her everyday. She acts like we never happened. The most I get is 'yes, sir,' 'good morning sir,' 'done, sir.'
That freaking sir. It could be used in more intimate scenarios. Not out of spite.
Her laugh rings through the air as she laughs with that Matt guy across the office. They seem close. Has she moved on already?
Nah. It's only been a month.
So?
That woman can have anyone she wants. But little does she know, no one will have and love her but me. I just have to get her back. She is mine.
I shake my head, and return to my screen. We started the plans for the ball fundraiser. The four of us have been working around the clock to make sure everything goes to plan. Our clients loved the idea. We invited some other people we wanted to book.
What am I going to do to get her back?
I am going to keep trying if it's the last thing I ever do.
Geez.
I run my hands down my face. "Son?"
My head snaps up. My dad stands in front of the closed door. "Dad. What are you doing here?" I love when he randomly shows up. The three of us almost had fun when we were together. The day would start with food, and end with Tristan and him wrestling like ten year olds. Dad would always win, of course. Pulling the age card.
"I may not be the CEO anymore, but I do have shares, son," he chuckles, taking a seat. "How is the ball prep going?"
"Moving fast. Six more weeks," I show him the plans for the caterers and venue so far. He nods in approval, making comments and suggestions for some sections.
"Do you have a date?" He suddenly asks.
"Uh-" I was gonna take Ana, but she hates me. "Dad, I don't need a date," I chuckle nervously.
"Son, I know you were seeing someone," were. "Tristan speaks a lot for a sniper," he chuckles. The irony. "Even if it didn't work out before, you can still try. He said you seemed happy. I saw it." I really was. "If not, bosses normally take their assistants. No romance required, though. It's more for the image. It looks-"
That's it!!
"What's it?" my father asks.
"Dad, I have a da-"
