"I only want to get to know you Autumn, nothing more." Those words kept replaying in my head. He must have been joking right? And I was stupid enough to exchange numbers with him.

After we talked a little he had gotten a phone call and said he needed to be somewhere, so we exchanged numbers and he said "we should hang out sometime" I simply nodded and smiled as he turned and walked away.

That was the last time I saw or heard from Aubrey..Aubrey...Come to think about it I don't even know his surname. Great AJ! Just great! You gave your number to someone you don't even know.

Well its been a week and he hasn't called or texted, not that I've been waiting for him to.Our whole meeting was weird and I have a,not bad, but weird feeling about that guy. He was nice, too nice for my liking.

My thoughts were interupted by my phone ringing. I picked it up and saw my best friend Nalanis name flash on the screen.

"Sup Lani?" I said as I answered the phone also deciding to lay back on my bed.

"Hey girl, you going to Sento's tonight? " Lani's squeeky voice rang through the phone.

Sento's was a spot where all the cool kids hung out. Sento, the guy who who owns the place, allows rappers, who have bars and have enough heart, to battle it out against one another. The crowd then places they're bets and who ever wins gets to battle out with other rappers in defence of their title.

"First is your car fixed? Because we both know I'm not gonna walk all the way to Sento's" I said getting up from my bed and walking over to my closet and opening my doors.

"Whatever AJ, just be ready by 7:00." She said then hung up.

This bitch. I tossed my phone onto my bed and continued to look through my closet for something to wear. I decided on a black leggings, red vanz , a black top and a red and black chicago bulls snap back. I layed my clothes on my bed and went into the shower.

A few minutes later I was out of the shower and getting dressed and ready. I put on my snapback and stood up to go get my phone which was vibrating on my night stand, which meant I had a text.

I grabbed my phone and open the text message.

Im outside- Lani

I locked my phone grabbed some cash and walked out my room and down the stairs. I walked through the loung and passed the kitchen spotting my mom cooking something that smelt really good on the stove.

My mom was a very hard working women, after my dad remarried she took care of us, not that my dad didn't contribute, but she was the one who was there and who loved us, while my dad took care of his new family, she stayed strong for us through everything.

"Hey mom." I said going into the kitchen and looking over my moms shoulder to see what she was cooking.

"Hey honey, where are you going? " she asked while stirring the food in the pot.

"Just out with Lani, I'll be back by 11 headed out the door.

"Be safe Autumn!" My mom called out as I made my way out the door and to Lanis car.

I found Lani in the driver's seat with the door open texting, as usual.

"Took you long enough." She said not looking up from her phone.

"Whatever lets go." I said going around to the passenger's side, opening the car door ang getting in.

Lani started the car then pulled off and we started making our way to Sento's. The drive was slow not in a bad way though. We cruised through the streets with some Frank Ocean playing softly through the speakers, and the occasional attempts to sing from Lani.
