Elizabeth's.
The kids were spectacular! They toured me around their tiny house, they were so active and non-stop telling stories to me. Feels like I am their real mother. I felt the love with these two as well, like we were known for a long time.
"And this is your garden. This is where you always take care of your plants and flowers. There's a little fountain where Harley and I wish that you'll come back to us, and it works!" Harvey lively announced as the twins held my two hands.
And he is right, this place is so divine! Like a sanctuary. So this is where Mrs. Cruz always hangs up. But to be honest with myself, I have no fondness for gardening. I mean we don't have a garden in our yard, and I have mild allergies to some pollen. But I do appreciate the twins that they really made an effort to explore me in their yard.
"Twins! Have a little hi to your favorite uncle?"
"Tito Joey!"
The twins ran back to their uncle, sir Joey as gave him sweet kisses. "How's the weather here, Lizzie?" He asked after he greeted the children.
"It is nice, but I think I will not stay here much longer. I mean, the Young Mistress is not approved for me being their private teacher." I retorted with a sad note.
"I already spoke with Justine, she will take her words back from you. She's you know..."
"Sick?" I found the appropriate word for her.
"I would say... broken. But she knows that she needs you to take care of the kids, especially, they love you." Joey motioned to the kids as they were having a snack break.
"I need that to confirm it from her. And I will accept her decisions, whether she wants me to stay or not." I sighed as I sadly smiled at the twins.
"What is wrong mommy? Why are you sad?" Harvey ran to me together with his sister as they are so concerned.
"Nothing, Harvey... It is just... I love to be friends with you two..."
"Mommy we are your angels, of course we are your best friends!" Harley retorted to me and I smiled.
"Well kids... the truth is, I am not-..." I was going to tell the truth to them when a husky voice interrupted me.
"She's not leaving. Also, she is your mother, that's what you are telling me right?" Justine asked her offspring and the two children got intimidated by their mother.
"Mommy will not leave. We are going with her." Harvey hugged me while Harley was blocking her mom's sight. "We want mommy because she loves us and never hurt us." Harley told her mother.
I saw Justine was hurt by that. She knows that I am not their real mother nor her real spouse but she stopped me and kept lying to her children. "Look children, she is your mother alright? You need to show your respect and be thankful to her because she looked after you both when..." I looked at Justine, from her eyes told me to not say any real information about me. "... I am gone."
Justine closed her eyes and was relieved.
"But mommy, she hurt Harley, and I promised to you that I will protect my sister so she will not get harmed by anybody." Harvey hugged his twin sister.
"I didn't mean to hurt you, Harley. I was out of line, and mama is sorry for that. I am sorry Harley, I promised that mama will never do that to you again, as well as for you, Harvey." Justine took forward to the children but they just hide behind my back.
I saw she was pissed as she clenched her fist so tight to hold her temper. "We will forgive you if you say sorry to mommy too."
"What?!... I'm sorry but I didn't catch that, young man." Justine was almost to rage up again until she scrubbed her brown hair upward and calmed her voice too.
