Hindi ko pa napaplano yung Operation: Get Fired ko but I'm determined to try. Matagal-tagal pa naman ako dito, and sa laki ng makukuha ko if Steven fires me on my first move, I can afford na wala akong work for a few months dahil matipid naman ako.

And honestly, the part where Steven Legaspi is going to pay for one-third of it was a pretty sweet payback para sa lahat ng paghihirap ko sa kanya, lahat ng effort, and time.

Ang limitations ko lang naman is I can't be fired for any reason that will amount to a legal termination. Sobrang standard lang like bawal mag nakaw, gross habitual neglect of duty, fraud, breach of trust like pag nag share ng information about a case sa rival client, lawyer or firm, and commission of a crime. So if I plan to give Steven reasons to fire me, yan yung mga limitations ko, I have a wide latitude to work with.

But how do I start? Idadahan-dahan ko ba? Like little things that I know will tick him off then I'll let it all build up. Or biglaan kagad? Isang bagsakan na one-time big time to get the maximum effect.

Knowing Steven, it won't be that hard to push his buttons dahil he can't tolerate crap. He's ticked off by everything or anything—less than par pleadings or contracts, people missing his directions, pag mali yung timpla ng kape nya, pag mainit yung panahon, pag sobrang lamig, or minsan even someone's face. May mga moments na ganon sya ka-arte. Correction, madami pala yung moments na yon. I've had to ask Lexie a lot of times over the years na wag iassign yung mga certain interns sa boss ko just because naiinis syang tignan yung pagmumukha. Nakakainis diba.

"Gaano ka kasigurado dito sa pusta mo Em?" Masyado akong distracted sa iniisip ko, hindi ko naramdaman na lumapit na pala sa desk ko si Beth who was followed by Marvin for early morning chika.

"Sigurado na. Bakit sa tingin nyo it's a bad idea?" I asked my friends about the bet we made yesterday about having myself fired rather than resigning.

"Hindi girl, I'm dying to see this Villanueva-Legaspi battle match." Mukha ngang excited si Marvin but looked around to be sure na wala pa yung boss ko at hindi kami maririnig ng kahit sino.

"Battle match?" Tinaasan ko sya ng kilay at the redundancy.

"Whatever, kung ano man ang term sa boxing." He waved his hand at me. I don't think may alam sa boxing si Marvin.

Wala din akong alam sa boxing pero wala akong planong harapin si Steven sa boxing ring dahil alam kong yun ang ginagawa nya sa gym, bilang ako din ang nag rerenew ng gym membership nya. Nakakatawa lang yung visual na we're both inside a boxing ring getting ready to rumble.

"Let's lay off the physical stuff Vina." Beth said.

"Oooohhhh physical. I want to see that as well." I hope he's joking. I mean, hot yung boss ko kung hindi lang sya egomaniac and well, everything that he is. But if bibigyan ako ng lalakeng ganon ka sexually attractive, I won't even know what to do with him. Kaya buti nalang din iritang-irita ako sa kanya kaya hindi ko man lang maisip na pagnasaan sya.

"So anywayyyy bago pa to mapunta kung saan-saan, if seryoso ka na Em, pumirma ka na dito." Inabot sakin ni Beth yung official pustahan post-it namin.
