(Y/n) wasn't exactly used to being the killer. While Araña had (Y/n) practice on specters from the Void, it was clear that Survivors more often than not escaped her.
However, right after she got her first 4k against the Specters, (Y/n) felt a strange pulse in the air. This pulse of emotions seemed to permeate the entirety of the Entity's Realm despite, oddly enough, coming from the Void. Overwhelmed by the unusual power that this pulse was causing, (Y/n) fell to her knees before falling unconscious. Caleb "The Deathslinger" Quinn, worried about his lover, rushed over to pick her up and bring her back home to rest up. As (Y/n) was resting in bed, Caleb couldn't help but notice how she seemed to be talking in her sleep... in a language he only recalled her singing before, and she had explained to him that she simply memorized the lyrics to those songs rather than knowing this language.
Still, noticing that she was both shivering and experiencing a fever, Caleb temporarily left to get a couple of things to help her recover, including a medkit. Unbeknownst to Caleb, Danny "The Ghostface" Johnson entered. He had a message from Araña to (Y/n), but when he heard the former Survivor talking in her sleep, Danny (out of curiosity and confusion) pulled out a tape recorder and started to record what she was saying.
Naturally, Caleb was quite annoyed when he came back and saw Danny. Danny, raising his hands in the air, quickly stated, "Hey, take it easy, lover boy! Araña sent me to tell your girlfriend that she's going to experience a custom trial before Araña considers her ready to deploy as a full-fledged killer! But since she's not feeling well, I'll just go!"
With that, The Ghostface left. Caleb sighed, but he couldn't help but notice that Danny left the tape recorder behind and running. As Caleb was examining (Y/n), who finally stopped talking in her sleep, he noticed that a mysterious circular mark appeared on her back at roughly the spot the spear of his Redeemer would come out of if he were to shoot her with it in a trial. Gently tracing his finger over the pattern, Caleb was startled when (Y/n) suddenly woke up blushing. (Y/n), calming down upon seeing Caleb, hugged him. The two just started to share a kiss when they heard Araña clear her throat.
The Entity's avatar asked (Y/n) how she felt, to which (Y/n) mentioned that she was feeling better. As a result, (Y/n) reluctantly agreed to participate in that Custom Trial.
(Y/n) was both surprised, and concerned, upon seeing Zarina Kassir among the four Survivors she was to face because (Y/n) did see Zarina as a good friend as both ladies were interested in finding the truth. How was the woman wearing glasses going to explain how she ended up having to be a killer now?
As for the other Survivors? One was a specter made to resemble Claudette. One was a man who dressed a bit like Dwight despite clearly being someone else. But the sight of the last one irritated (Y/n). That last Survivor was a streamer she unfollowed after she asked for advice on a game only to be told something that was basically useless for her. Adjusting her glasses, (Y/n) sighed, "Araña really knows how to find Survivors that Killers would gladly sacrifice..."
Unfortunately, it soon became clear that the Dwight lookalike was a hacker and the streamer, who bragged about having well over 10,000 hours in that game, was in cahoots with the hacker upon recognizing (Y/n), and the two men began to bully (Y/n) by blocking her in a corner in the Dead Dawg Saloon and shining never-ending flashlights in her eyes. Zarina, horrified at the sight of what two of her should've been teammates were doing, immediately tried to get them to stop. Unfortunately, not only did the two men not listen, but the hacker teleported the documentarian outside the Exit Gates, leaving Zarina seemingly unable to do anything except watch. However, thinking fast, Zarina pulled out her phone camera and started to record everything. She also used her foot to draw a circular symbol with a line in the dust in order to get Araña's attention. Zarina heard from Elodie that the symbol basically summoned the Entity, so the documentarian hoped that it could work in the Entity's Realm. Araña immediately headed over, but was dumbfounded as she asked, "Zarina? What seems to be the matter?"
