An uncomfortable silence filled the room. I was trying to avoid Connor's gaze but the fact that there were only the both of us in the room made it almost impossible. The fire department was taking too long. ''Detective'' He broke the silence. ''Yes?'' I finally looked at him. ''Are we not going to talk about how you were avoiding me earlier?'' really, are we going to do this right now? ''Sorry, can we do this later Connor?'' I said, hoping that he would agree. ''No, no we can't'' his voice was firm and he had this look in his eyes.. hurt? it made my heart clench. He continued ''I don't know what I did wrong, I never meant to hurt you.'' I sighed. "Connor, you've never hurt me. I'm the one acting weird." there was a moment of silence after that and I took it as a sign to continue. "It's just that, my feelings fo-"
My sentence got cut off as a man in a red suit came through the window. The fire department.

They helped us go down with the ladder and once we were down Gavin literally tackled me. "ohmygodithoughtsomethinghappenedtoyouohmygod" he said in a really fast way that I couldn't understand the half of it. I gave him a pat on the back and saw Hank talking with Connor but Connor's gaze was on us. He was almost glaring at us. Wait, I think he was glaring at Gavin. But why? I thought they were starting to get along. When Connor and my eyes met, he quickly turned his head away in a panicked way. I shrugged it off and turned to Gavin. "So, we were supposed to hang out before all this." But before he had a chance to nod, two medical personnel approached me and told me they needed to do a quick check up in the ambulance in order to see if I had any injuries from the fight. I gave Gavin a quick goodbye and made my way towards the back of the ambulance. I sat there while the personnel were searching my body for any cuts and other wounds. While I was waiting for them to be done, I started thinking about whether or not they were going to bring a mechanic for Connor's possible wounds. I know that androids are pretty tough and all but still. The nurse's voice snapped me out of my train of thought. "Seems like you're good to go sir!" I gave her a thank you and went back to where Gavin was standing, waiting for me. Me, Gavin, Connor and Hank all got into the car that we used to get here in the first place and made our way to the station.

We left the equipment back at the station and then Gavin and I decided to go to a mall and started going towards our car but then I got a genius idea and ran to Connor. He quirked an eyebrow at me, probably wondering why I just ran through the station. "Hey Detective" He greeted. "Hey Connor, would you like to come to the mall with me and Gavin" I said trying to hide my nervousness. I heard Gavin groan in the distance. " I don't think Detective Reed would be too pleased in my presence" He said looking down. I shot gavin a glare and after a few second of staring he gave out a sigh of defeat and said "Come one tin can! we haven't got all day." Connor had a small smile on his face which made blood rush to my cheeks and heat then up. Then I said "Well, let's go then" and we got out the door.

We stepped into the cold of the Detroit streets and the chilly wind kind of stung my heated up cheeks. Gavin unlocked his car and Connor and I looked at each other for a second as if we were both waiting for the other one to sit on the front seat. Gavin must've realised because he gave us a groan and told us to get in already. I made my way to the front seat, deciding it would make more sense since Gavin wasn't that fond of Connor for some reason. We got seated and Gavin started the car, the car's stereo turning on automatically. I was switching between songs but then Gavin gave my hand a little slap and told me to stop being distractive. "But I don't like this song, or anything in your playlist appearantly. They suck" Gavin made a fake offended noise. Bored, I turned my head back to look at connor and saw that he was looking at me with curious eyes. He looked like he was wondering something. Probably the rest of the sentence that I was about to say in that Plaza. Embarrased, I looked down and turned my head so I could face the front of the car. I took a glance at the side mirror and saw connor looking out the window with his eyebrows furrowed. His led was switching between a blue and a yellow. He noticed me staring and looked at me again and I quickly turned my head and made a bad attempt on trying to look like I wasn't staring. We came to a stop and got out of the car. "So, where do you want to go first?" Gavin asked. I shrugged. "I don't know. The bookstore?" He gave a nod and we started walking.

When we got there Gavin just hurriedly walked away from us to look at the mangas while me and Connor made our way inside the numerous number of shelves that could almost get you lost. We came to a stop and I continued staring at the books. "So Connor, what kind of books do you like?" I said not averting my eyes from the books. "Stop that" His response caught me off guard and I could only give him a confused look and a little 'huh?' before he continued. "Something keeps bothering you and you refuse to tell me, why?" His voice was stern. Like how it was back then in the plaza. There was an uncomfortable silence. Until he spoke again. "Im sorry, I shouldn't cross your boundries and make you uncomfortable. We're not that close after all" He said the last part in a sad tone. "That's the problem Connor. That's whats bothering me." I said finally. He looked confused. "The fact that we're not close I-" I gave out a sigh and lowered my head. "I want to be close. With you." I looked at him expectingly and saw that his cheeks had a blue tint on them and his led was flashing between yellow and red. But did that really explain anything? I didn't know. "Ah, you dont feel the same" I said smiling a little but my voice indicated that I was sad. Then he literally grabbed my collar and kissed me. I was too surprised for a few seconds but then I kissed back. I thought this would never end but then Gavin's voice startled us. "Oh come on! Here? In front of all the books??" We looked at each other and I laughed while Connor was still blushing. We slowly got out of the bookstore and made our way towards the food court. Connor and I gave each other quick looks along the way. This was such a good week, or so I thought.
