Spatial Quakes or known to others as spacequakes.......
It is from the word itself, like an earthquake but rather, it happens on space.
The cause? The very first spatial quake happened 30 years ago.
According to my father, Nishimiya Takeshi, who was still a middle schooler during that time, the very first spacequake and still the largest and most devastating spacequake in all of history.
This incident was known as the "Eurasian Sky Disaster."
The point of origin of the said spacequake, is within Eurasia. From there, it devastated a large portion of within the said continent which includes portions of the Soviet Union, Mongolia and China.
It is estimated to have taken 150 million lives.
During that time, my father was part of a secret Magus Organization that keeps watch of the disasters within the world.
He was sent to investigate the aftermath and the possible cause of the said phenomenon. According to him, he was actually in England, when the said spacequake happened. Realizing what my father called as "disturbance" within the flow of mana, he followed it and from there.......
He traced the source and even siphoned what seems to be a pure and a portion of the power that he believed was responsible for the said disaster.
By having a portion and the purest substance of the said power, he'll be able to trace the origin of the said disaster.
He travelled to what he believed the epicenter and he saw the horrors of the destruction of the very first spacequake.
When he found the epicenter, it was just empty, only wilderness created by the said spacequake. Without even a clue, organization was forced to postpone their investigation.
Why did they send my father at the first place? My father was considered to be one of the most talented magus during that time, and in recognition of his talents, he was granted to travel across the globe and even pursue a different path other than being a magus.
He wanted to use that as a chance to become a doctor.
The higher ups of the organization liked it as they never saw a magus who also wanted to be a doctor. A magus who wanted to use his talents to help others, the highest ideal of the said organization.
Now, after the Eurasian Sky Disaster, similar spacequakes began appearing in the world for the past 6 months.
When he returned to Japan to pursue high school, a few months after the first spacequake, another spacequake occured, which was latter known as the "South Kanto Sky Disaster."
He secretly investigated the aftermath and my father found out that the power he siphoned during the time of the first spacequake is kinda similar to what causes the spacequakes, as he felt the residue of the same power that he siphoned.
He also felt that there is something or someone possessing the same power that he absorbed.
But he never got to trace it as disasters were still raging, and not to mention, the Magus Organization that my father was a part of, collapsed due to internal conflict within the higher ups, and the organization was abolished during that time.
