Mun's POVWe settled for some beer from the keg by the fridge
"So..." Chris started as an ice breaker though there was nothing to break really, I enjoyed his presence.
"What is your costume? don't get me wrong it's nice, I just-" I gave him a once over "can't figure out the character" I concluded sipping at my red cup.
" It's kind of a made-up character but it is inspired by wolverine" He gave me a small smile and sipped at his cup too.
"Oh, so you are a lone wolf? I teased. He exhaled a short giggle.
"Uhh not really? I mean I like to work by myself, but it is better when the guys are with me, they are my flat mates after all" He made a lot of hand gestures while explaining but even without them my focus would only be on him. Then a question pops up on my brain.
"Work" He looked at me chanfused "you work with them? do they work at the agency?" Now I was confused. Chris remained silent and expressionless, like realizing something. He looked sideways and I just tilted my head with a tiny frown.
Suddenly I was pushed from behind taking my focus away from the conversation. I looked back down first slowly rising my eyes with a frown, a what the hell one, until I met my pushers' eyes. The frown washed out of my face and a surprised one took place. I didn't have Chris in my line of sight, but I guessed he was witnessing all
Omnipresent POV
"We need to stop meeting like this, huh?" the male said and Mun scoffed sarcastically.
"Yeah, you keep hitting me" and scrunched her eyebrows.
"Would you prefer I hit ON you instead?" He smugly smiled eyeing her up and down raising his brows. Mun only let an exhaled laugh at the unbelievable demeanor the guy was in. A throat clearing was heard, that pulled Mun again to the situation before the incident.
"Chris..." Mun sighed "hmm this is Calum" she said almost flatly with a chance of awkwardness not looking to either men she was between in literally and figuratively she wasn't completely sure, she made a mental note to do some introspection later.
They shook hands firmly and displayed tight ghosts of smiles.
Mun wanted nothing more but to be swallowed entirely by the ground.
"I remember you!" Calum said, the thing about him is that he could be a pain in the ass but was a genuinely nice person. He pointed one finger from the hand he was holding his drink. "At the beach" He specified.
"Oh yeah" Chris faked realization, though he knew perfectly who he was, he cleared his throat "Ball guy" He mimicked the same point gesture Calum made, and the other male laughed nodding.
Mun was searching through her brain for something to say, her personality trying to keep the air clear and make a joke, but she was out of them.
"So what are you doing here?" she opted for this kind of way to keep it light.
"A friend brought me as his plus one" he took a swig of his beverage.
"Huh, what friend is that?" Mun scrunched her brows for the nth time.
"Don't think you know him" He mirrored her expression. Since she didn't back down, he sighed. "Fine, his name is Lino" Calum raised his bushy brows exasperated.
"Lino?" Chris's voice was heard, the other two looked at his direction "You are friends with him?" he added tilting his head.
"Hmm yes, we met through a boxing class" Calum's brow never leaving the frown.
"Ah, makes sense" Christopher nodded and also noticed how taller the other man was but it did not bother him that much, he always says he is tall enough and that he is fun size, so whatever.
"What do you mean by that?" Calum elevated his chin in a defensive manner.
"Oh, nothing bad" Chris shrugged it off.
"Okay" Mun intervened. And in that moment, someone call out Calum. He searched through the crowd, he let out a sigh and took a step towards the direction where he heard his name.
"Gotta go" He pointed behind him, looked both Mun and Chris like trying to figure something out "nice meeting you" he said to Chris "Catch up later" this time looking at Mun. And resume his way.
Mun felt her phone vibrate and took it out. "Work friend" she simply said at the text, that caught Chris's attention. "More like friends without the work" Mun continue. halfheartedly joking "right?" she looked at him in the eye, smiling slightly.
Chris was analyzing what was he going to say next as he was slowly but surely downing the rest of his drink. "More like more than friends, maybe" He stated, his cup still near his mouth level while he looked sideways avoiding eye contact despite his bold-ish comment, whilst Mun was stunned to say the least, starring at Chris. Here it was, the chance to say what everyone of their friend group was thinking but kept letting the two just go in their own pace. Chris expressed that sentence because Calum's previous interaction with Mun awoke something he did not like, and it was pure jealousy. That Cal pal used straightforwardness to try and find some kind of green light from Mun, but she didn't correspond to any of it, she was just dismissive, even with that crystal clear, for Christopher was still a threat. Even more because Calum was not affected by the rejection which meant he was not backing down. This was just round 1 for him, or number 2 if the beach encounter counts.
Apart from the whole ass relationship they had, Chris was kind of feeling that sensation of missing out, they met later, they haven't had a big amount of memories, their feelings are new and yet to discover, so Chris all he could do was breathe and be patient. What happened before his time is not of his business to know, only if Mun was the one to inform him.
"I-" Suddenly Mun was interrupted yet again. Felix next to her grabbing her arm, startling her and her focus on Chris, him getting startled as well backing a bit but collided with a body causing him to be spilled with the strangers drink. What a catastrophe occurred in a matter of seconds.
Chris was about to get the response to something he had been wondering about for a while and his people betrayed him unknowingly.
"Mun, I've been looking for you!" Felix told her pulling her towards an unknown place for her "come take a shot with me and Jisung" He smiled widely, she looked a little troubled not entirely letting her be dragged by her roommate, turning her head now to Chris' way with scrunched brows, him already looking at her, she mouthed an apology to him.
Christopher made a tight grin and bit his bottom lip in impotence watching her go. Then Ania caught his attention waving one hand in front of his face, he did not notice her arrival with Felix.
"Great fucking timing, sis" He muttered in a raspy voice, she made a confused face.
"What did I do?" she sipped at her potion, he did not respond to that but stared at his stained white shirt with beer "gonna go get cleaned" and with that he left Ania frowning, making his way to his room.
