As Megan got ready for her dinner with Andrew, she kept thinking about her kisses with Gray. There was no doubt that there was electricity there. She could feel it all the way to her toes. Even now, thinking about it, she again felt that thrill. She knew she was playing with fire, and she had better be careful that her next move was sincere, or Gray would be devastated.

She lit candles in the Banquet Hall, set two places, and turned on a CD of quiet music. As she stepped back to observe the table, she looked up at the Godfrey portrait. It seemed to be looking directly at her. This was a bit unsettling. The eyes were almost piercing and black. It was strange that no one seemed to know the man she had met in the woods. And yet he had said he lived nearby. What did that mean? Was he living out in the woods? When the weather cleared she would go walking again and look for him.

While she was waiting for Andrew, she thought she would give Bev a ring. She told her that she thought Gray might be in love with her. "Yes, both my boys are in love with you. I don't blame them either."

"Thanks for the nice compliment. But both? I never thought Drew was more than a friend."

"It has been clear to me for months that Andrew loves you."

"Oh, dear. This is not a good thing. I don't know what to do. What should I do?"

"All three of you are adults and should be able to deal with it. If you are enough interested in either of them, take it forward. If not, let them down easily. They can't expect more than that."

"I care very much for them both. They are wonderful men. I don't want either to be hurt or disappointed."

"Why don't you just let it lie until you know your own heart? No one can force you into something that isn't right for you. You'll know when or if it is, when the time is right."

Andrew came through the kitchen door, so Megan said her goodbyes. He laid out the food he had brought. He had left Jigs at home this time. Chinese take out was the dinner, so they carried the boxes to the Hall. "Very nice," said Andrew as he looked at the table and candles.

"How have you been lately? I hardly see you."

"Business has been brisk, and I've hardly had a second. I'm so pleased with all your progress on the house. I admit I had my doubts, but you are doing a wonderful job."

"Thank you. It has been so fun and also so exhausting. Years more of tasks to complete, but I guess that was what I wanted. I knew what it would take – sort of."

"What are your current projects?"

"I'd love to get a sitting room or parlor for guests to sit in when they come and maybe put a television in there. I've been looking at different rooms for that. Of course there is the on-going cleaning and the plumbing that is still being worked on. Did Gray tell you that a tree came down during the storm Saturday night?"

"No, I haven't talked to him. Where is it?"

"Out by the Morning Room. It is up from the roots, so I don't think we can save it. The good thing is it probably needed to come out anyway, because it was so close to the house foundation."

"This is really good. Hope you like Chinese."

"I like everything. Is this some place that you go often for take away?"

"Very frequently. Probably once a week."

"So, tell me, are you fond of Chinese?"

Laughing Andrew said, "No. Don't care for it."

"Let's go explore the library when we are done."

"An excellent idea."

So, after they had finished their meal they opened their fortunes. Megan's said "Caution should be taken in all your endeavors." Andrew's said, "All you wish for will be yours."
