It was three days holiday. The school will reopen on Monday. In these three days the girl continued to enter Hailee's imagination. How can she like someone within a day? She shook off those thoughts and try to busy herself.
Those three days didn't even felt like holiday. Monday she returned to school.
"Hey dork" Hailee turned to see Patrick.
"Finally, we met after 10 years" Patrick rolled his eyes as she said that.
"We met yesterday. Remember?"
"Still"
After sometimes the bell rang. The first period of the day started.
The whole day till lunchtime she was feeling anxious about something. She didn't know what to name it.
"Patrick, can I ask you something?" He nodded. "Why is math hard?" He choked on his food.
"Do me a favor talk about things other then maths" He continued to eat.
The zero period like Thursday started. Their location shifted to the Auditorium. The tall man entered the room. "Okay guys, we will be taking auditions today. I have got Mrs. Lithia to help me out"
His voice began to fade for Hailee when she found the smaller girl talking with her classmates. The whole room felt like shining when she smiled. Hailee was desperate to know her.
"Students of class 11 and 12. Get out. You guys are not doing anything except for chatting" Mrs. Lithia ordered. Students began to stand up from their places and go away. The long haired girl went out with them too. Now Hailee knows that she was older than her.
The auditions took a long time. The bell rang.
"Okay guys that's all for today. Please head to your respective classes"
The students went out of the room. The crowd was too busy.
Fifth period, library, story books are better than subject books. It's like an enjoyment. There was another advantage class 11 and 12 were visible from there.
Standing and watching through the window, the shorter girl came out of her class and was taking the staircase.
Hailee looked up and pleaded "Please make her come here please. I want more time with her please god"
Wish or coincidence she saw her coming towards the library door. The taller girl randomly took a book on her hand and waited for the girl to sit. Once she choose her book she took a seat on a table. Hailee quickly sat down beside her. Thank you God.
"Hailee let's go sit the–"
"Uh no Patrick let's sit here"
He did as she said. He sat opposite to the long-haired girl and beside Hailee.
Hailee was getting bored because the book was not interesting. She didn't want to get another one because she was too scared that she will lose the brunette. She absent-mindedly started swing her legs which made her bump her leg with the shorter girl. For the second time in five days she got her attention. "Sorry"
"It's okay" Hearing those words were enough for her.
After a moment of silence Hailee decided to break the silence "What's your name?"
"Y/N. What's yours?"
"Hailee"
She went on to read her book. There was the silence again. Between her reading the boring book she would look at Y/N. Looking at her made her feel something that she can't explain. Once she starts she can't stop it.
"Which class are you in?"
"11"
Again silence.
"What book are reading?"
"I–"
Luckily the bell rang.
"Ummm bye Y/N"
"Bye Hailee"
Hailee took as long as time she could to leave with Y/N. Disappointed that she didn't even moved from her place she made her way towards her class.
The whole academic period Hailee's mind was clouded with the conversation she had with the girl. She knows her class, most importantly her name. As the bell rang she rushed to the seniors quadrangle where class class 11 and 12 is.
She spotted the smaller girl who was currently busy writing. She was feeling like a stalker. She checked the time. Her music class would start any minute. She rushed to the room.
The class doesn't start early that means she was on time. "I hope everyone is settled. Let's start with today's class." Time passed by. The lessons were over. The bell sound echoed. "That's it for today. See you all tomorrow."
Students went out of the room. Few were singing the song which was practiced. The brunette rushed for her next class. The last class of the day.
Hailee's pov
What is wrong with me? Why do I wanna look through the window for a hopeful glimpse of her? Why the heck am I feeling nervous for?
Let me focus in the class.
She might get out of my head. What is she doing now? Is she okay? For god's sake why can't I stopping thinking about her. I gotta distract myself, I gotta remain focused. I opened my copy, writing her name absent-mindedly on the last page. This feeling was new to me. I wanted to see her everytime. The period ended. I was talking with Patrick. "The high quality girl? With whom everyone is obsessed with? First of all, her face is like a grandma. Second if she comes my way she is getting a punch on her face. Third she is not prettiest girl in this school–" The real prettiest girl was following her friends. The three friends were walking past us. She saw me. I waved to her and she did too. "She is the one."
"I never knew you go that way."
"I don't. I am straight. I was only sharing my perspective with you." Or am I.
Wanda Maximoff's video was currently playing on my phone. Since the summer break I have been watching Marvel movies. The first movie I saw was Avengers: Infinity War. My favourite avenger was Wanda Maximoff. I googled about her. Read things and came across Jean Grey or the Pheonix host. People are always making comparison. Personally, I believe they are great on their fields.
What is her favorite Avenger? I need to stop it. Did she reach home? What is she eating? I need to distract myself. Time for online games.
