The morning after Kylie and Zane's first date, she knew she could not live without him. Her heart longed for him too much to let go. She knew her parents did not want her to be with him, but she decided to go against their wishes. Kylie knew this was true love, and she would not let them get in the way.

She evaded her parents the entire rest of the year. She lied to them and snuck out of the house to see Zane on the weekends. She told them she joined a club at school when she was really hanging out with Zane and his band. She started dressing in more black clothing and going to his Magenta Day gigs as often as she could. Sometimes, she dragged Olivia with her. Most of the time, she went by herself. She told her parents she was staying over at Olivia's, when she really was with Zane.

She was always front and center at his shows, mooning over him when he sang, especially, when he looked directly at her. She loved the way he looked deep into her eyes when he sang. His piercing, dark eyes were enchanting when he was on stage. It made her body tremble every time. She could feel her reaction to him collect between her thighs. Swaying to the music was the only way to hide how weak in the knees she was around him.

The entire concert, Kylie counted down the songs on the set list, waiting for the moment she could be one with Zane.

In an effort to make the process go faster and to spend extra time with Zane, Kylie helped the band pack up the equipment after the shows. Zane would talk about how great the performance was, and she would listen intently. She complimented him over and over about how amazing he was on stage. Once everything was ready and they were in his van, Kylie felt as if she was barely hanging on to the edge with anticipation.

Her body was already rapidly fluttering all over while she waited for Zane to make the first move. She always did. It felt like eternity until he leaned over and wrapped his hand around her neck, pulling her in closer. He looked into her eyes, taking in the craving look in her eyes. He knew she was wrapped around his finger, and he loved it.

Finally, Zane closed his eyes and moved his lips towards Kylie's. He slipped his tongue into her mouth, savoring the discreet nature of making out in the darkness of his van in the back parking lot. Kylie hated that he never wanted to kiss her in public. It did not make her feel like he loved her as much as she loved him.

But what could she do? He said his fans could not know that he was in a relationship. He wanted them to think he was single. The illusion that they could be with him helped sell his image of the sexy, rocker. It also helped sell the album. It was the first glimpse that Zane's career was always going to be more important to him than Kylie. Kylie shook it off. She would do anything to be with Zane.

In private, he promised he only had eyes for her. He kissed her eagerly. The sexual tension built into a crescendo until they were both impatiently tearing at each other's clothes in the back of his van. Sometimes they made it to the lookout point. Other times, they did it right there in the parking lot behind the venue.

Kylie felt alive when she was with him, the adrenaline of their somewhat public adventures reacted with her desire for Zane and turned into a pool of liquid between her legs. They were always in a hurry to feel each other's bodies together, and barely undressed. Zane was always eager for Kylie, but he was even more so after a show when his entire body felt electrified from being on stage.

Kylie loved the way Zane made her feel every time he was with her, standing next to her, chatting on the phone with her, texting her. Any moment she knew he was thinking of her made Kylie giddy with happiness. She was addicted to him.

Did she mistake that feeling for love? She had never been in love with any other guy, never seriously dated anyone else despite being off and on with Zane during college. Did she really know what love was? If she loved him so much, why was she willing to kiss Jax and end their relationship forever? Aren't you supposed to fight for the one you love? She thought.
