032- Realising

Third person's P.O.V

"We arrived at our destination." Stefan's voice broke the silence.

The place surrounding them was full with trees, all labeled with numbers that looked like expiration dates. The trees die like humans do after many years of living. They just stay in a place for the rest of their life. They watch their neighbors grow, and depending on what type of tree they are, they can watch the neighbors die and their children grow. This is life for them, give us oxygen and some of them give fruits to us. Some trees have short lifes, some have long lives. This is life, to some us unfair, to others is just too long. The same thing works for humans too.

They all got out of the car, the birds were singing and the sunlight barely lit the place, making it look very dark and misty. We all like the feeling of exploring the unknown, but do you like exploring a dark place, knowing what happened at the other forest?

They got out the weber grill and then went deep in the forest following a path which was obvious. (Y/N) got closer to Bedřich, but he saw her and went away to Ondřej. Maybe he still hadn't forgotten the fact that she lied.

She walks behind them all. It seems like no one wants her around. Well, she's different from the others, of course no one likes her. Then, they place the thing and then Stefan asks.
"Ok, all right. What have we forgotten?"
"Nothing." Ondřej replies.

Then everything went silent.

Everything went exactly as nothing ever happened. They sat around a table, doing their business, and there is (Y/N), just looking around like she has a problem.

She wanted to be back at her place, at her house, close to her friends, again where she was before. She wanted everything to be normal. They are doing what they should be doing at the moment and she is fighting for her fatherland. As everything should be.

But no, she was stuck in this world, with those people instead of being in her place. It wasn't her fault though. It never was. It was all a mistake. But who made the mistake?

"So... who's hungry?" Magdalena asks to break the silence.
"I am." Bedřich says. But he clearly wasn't at all.
"Same." Says Ondřej. He was acting.

(Y/N) didn't say anything. She just wanted to be back at her home.
"(Y/N)?"
"Huh?"
"Are you hungry?"
"Am I?"
"Come on."
"I'm not. But I will eat with force."
"No! If you don't want to eat, then don't eat."
"We need to talk (Y/N)." Stefan said. "Get up."

She sees him and then gets up. She looked at him, like she was looking at a statue. The boy came close and then said again.
"We need to talk."
"About what?"
"I'll tell you later. Follow me."

The boy walks and the girl follows him. The others watched them.
They went deep in the forest, there was cold. It looked like everywhere (Y/N) went, the birds and animals stared at her. It was a dark ambience. Also there was something that (Y/N) just noticed.
Stefan was shorter than (Y/N), just a few centimeters though.
"I have to tell you something."
"So..."
"You are shorter than me."
The boy stopped walking and saw the girl straight in her eyes.
"That was offensive!" He sounded like he was complaining.
"I'm speaking facts."
"Don't offend me like that. It's not that I have a choice."
"Fine..."
"Also, how am I shorter than you?"
"Do I look like I have an answer?"

The boy continues walking in silence, and then (Y/N) follows him. The birds were singing happily, everything seemed normal when suddenly they stopped singing and flew away.
What happened?

"I have to tell you something." Stefan finally spoke.

"What is that?"
Stefan sat down cross-legged and then spoke to (Y/N).
"Do you know the reason why you are here?"
"Yeah, I have asked myself many times, but I can't find the answer."
"What do you think it is?"
"I... don't know."
"Well let me tell..." Stefan took a deep breath and then continued speaking. "In that dimension, many weird things happened. One of them was a weird raven who came and started kraaing or whatever it is called. You know, the kraa sound that a raven makes. Or... I think it is like that. Never-mind. After that raven showed up, my eagle never got close to that olive tree, which resulted in it being the place where you showed up. And you know what? Around three days before this, Arnold and Barett caught Lexus who tried to escape. Which leads to the question if Lexus did it. And if he did it, did he mean to summon you here or someone but accidentally the portal got you? Also, we also have to point out that Lexus can have the power to escape by himself, without anybody else. Why did he do that?"
