I did, and now look at the pain it bought
My world now filled with shades of grey
It is the same for you, is it not?
Darling we've tried
We've given more than second chances
This, cannot be denied
All it had led to was dire circumstances.
Why did we ignore the red flags and come back to each other?
Not only did you hurt me, but I hurt you too
So why did we even bother
When all it had led to were broken promises between us two.
I looked back on us and thought
'We are breaking each other's heart
Why are we pretending this is an extraordinary thing we've got?'
It's time we went part.
Now, it's broken but there
It's been ripped out but still with me
Why did I have to let it fall in love, how is this fair?
This heartache we caused isn't worth fixing.
