"What? You've got to be a hunter, then. Like us," Sindra exclaimed, motioning behind her to Koda's unconscious form. She hoped he would wake up soon just in case she needed backup with their sudden new company, although he had just killed Elena. So maybe it was unlikely that he would try to go for them next.

However, Sindra was distraught over the fact that she couldn't have slain Elena herself, especially after her determined tirade earlier. But she supposed having her ass saved was better than being dead right now.

Jericho snorted, then immediately straightened up. "Yeah, I am. I'm actually a new hunter, fresh out of the marines. I come from HASP, which I'm assuming you guys do as well...?" When Sindra nodded, he took a few steps closer to her and stopped right by the werewolf's body. He kicked her onto her back with his boot. "This one was tough to find. As I just said, I tracked her down for about two months, and I even scoped the entire damn state at one point. Never even heard of Deschutes County till a few days ago." He narrowed his eyes. "How long have you two been tracking her?"

"About two days."

Jericho's eyes widened only slightly, but he quickly concealed his shock. "Ah. And how in God's name did you do that so quickly? It usually takes me months to find and kill a werewolf. Never knew it could be done that quickly."

It wasn't uncommon for a new hunter like this man here to have a harder time with tracking, but Sindra decided not to point that out just yet. She just shrugged. "We just do what we always do. We break it down very specifically with each town in every state that we start hunting in. Once you get yourself on the right place at the right time, it's hard to not find a werewolf after that." She nodded over at Koda. "He's also a fledgling magic-wielder, and he helps me track the beasts down with his special charms. Saves us both a lot of time." She didn't mention that she also seemed to have a sixth sense for finding werewolves, being able to sense their presences whenever they were near, because she just assumed every hunter had that.

"Huh. Go fuckin' figure I guess," he said with a chuckle. "Doesn't matter anymore though, she's dead now. I just can't believe it took three of us to bring her down."

Sindra wanted to wake up Koda so he could meet their new acquaintance, but as she turned around, she saw him sitting up with a hand on his forehead. "Shit... how long was I down? She definitely rocked my world sideways."

His eyes widened when he got sight of Jericho, and he quickly scrambled to his feet. Sindra came over to him. "Hey it's alright, this is Jericho. He's apparently a newer hunter that's also from HASP. He's been hunting the same werewolf as us, and he somehow found us at the right time and killed Elena before I could. I don't know what happened to Rose."

Koda took Jericho in, and he seemed to be sizing the older man up even though Jericho was twice as tall and twice as muscular as he was. "Well uh... nice to meet you I guess. And thanks for killing that thing for us. How long have you been with HASP?"

Jericho thought for a moment. "I'd say five or six months, I'm not entirely sure. This is only my second hunt, so I'm just as surprised as you are that I got to kill this one."

Sindra winced as she looked down at her arms. She still needed her wounds bandaged before anything else happened. "It's nice to meet you Jericho, but I need to fix up my arms before I lose any more blood." She was starting to feel weak, a feeling completely foreign to her. Sindra also didn't thank him yet for killing Elena for her, because she still wished she had been the one to do it.

"Hang on, I can try to help at least a little bit," Koda said, grabbing a charm from his back pocket. She was thankful that Rose and Elena hadn't confiscated that one, either. "Hold still." He clutched the charm in one fist and held it out over Sindra's bloody arms, and to her amazement the wounds began to close up slightly. It didn't stop all of the bleeding, but at least most of it had slowed down so she could stop feeling so tired.
