"You're a terrible bowler," Nova laughed at Scott as the three walked down the hall after lunch.
"I know!" Scott whined. "I'm such an idiot."
"God, it was like watching a car wreck," Stiles said. "I mean, first it turned into a whole group date thing. And then out of nowhere comes that phrase."
"Hang out," Scott scoffed.
"You don't hang out with hot girls, okay? It's like death. Once it's hanging out, you might as well be her gay best friend. You and Danny can start hanging out."
"How is this happening? I either killed a guy or I didn't," Scott said.
"I don't think Danny likes me very much," Stiles said, straying from the topic.
"I don't like you that much," Nova admitted to her brother.
"I ask Allison on a date, and now we're hanging out."
"Am I not attractive to gay guys?"
"I make first line, and the team captain wants to destroy me, and now... Now I'm gonna be late for work."
"Wait, Scott, you didn't... Am I attractive to gay guys...You didn't answer my question."
"The answer is probably no, buddy," Nova snorted, walking the complete opposite of Stiles.
Stiles pulled his jeep up to the gate outside the school. Scott was told by Derek how to get his memories back and so he dragged the twins out with him.
"Hey, no, just me. Someone needs to keep watch," Scott told them.
"How come we're always stuck keeping watch?" Nova asked.
"Because someone needs to babysit Stiles," Scott said.
"Okay, why's it starting to feel like you're Batman and I'm Robin?" Stiles asked. "I don't wanna be Robin all the time."
"Nobodys Batman or Robin any of the time."
"Not even some of the time?"
"Just stay here," Scott said. "Both of you."
"Oh, my god! Fine," Stiles groaned, the twins walking back to the jeep while Scott climbed over the fence.
Stiles and Nova sat bored waiting for Scott to come back. Nova sat up when she spotted a light just beyond the bus Scott was on. She quickly slapped Stiles arm. Once he saw what she was looking at, he laid his hand on the horn. Scott came running out of the bus, jumping over cars and flipping over the fence before running to hop in the Jeep.
"Go! Go! Go! Go!" Scott shouted at Stiles when he finally made it inside the car. Stiles turned around, looking out the back window as he reversed down the road like a maniac.
"Did it work? Did you remember?" Nova asked Scott, peeking her head out from the back seat.
"Yeah, I was there last night. And the blood, a lot of it was mine," Scott admitted.
"So you did attack him?" Stiles asked.
"No. I saw glowing eyes in the bus, but they weren't mine. It was Derek."
"What about the driver?"
"I think I was actually trying to protect him," Scott said.
"Wait, why would Derek help you remember that he attacked the driver?" Nova asked.
"That's what I don't get."
"It's got to be a pack thing," Stiles told him.
"What do you mean?" Scott asked.
"Like an initiation. You do the kill together."
"That's a little fucked up," Nova muttered.
"Because ripping someone's throat out is a real bonding expirience," Scott told Stiles, sarcastically.
"But you didn't do it, which means you're not a killer," Nova told him. "And it also means..."
"I can go out with Allison," Scott smiled.
"I was gonna say it means you won't kill us."
"Oh, yeah. That, too."
"Hey, Scott, I'm gonna go to..." Melissa sighed as she walked towards her sons room. She trailed off when she realized it was empty. "Sleep." She started to walk away when she heard two thuds from the room. She peeked into Scotts room to see two figures crawling awkwardly through the window. Melissa grabbed the baseball bat that was next to Scotts door, ready to beat the shit out of the intruders.
Stiles and Nova screamed and fell back against the bed when Melissa charged them with the bat, screaming as well.
"Stiles, Nova, what the hell are you doing here?" She asked.
"What are we doing? God, do either of you even play baseball?" Stiles asked.
"Can you please tell your friends to use the front door?" Melissa asked when Scott walked in, turning his lights on.
"But we lock the front door. They wouldn't be able to get in," Scott said.
"Yeah, exactly. And, by the way, do any of you care that there's a police-enforced curfew?"
"No," They replied in unison.
"No. All right then. You know what? That's enough parenting for me for one night, so good night."
"Night, Melissa. You look really pretty," Nova called after her. Stiles sighed once they were all alone.
"What?" Scott asked.
"Our dad left for the hospital 15 minutes ago. It's the bus driver," Nova told him. "They said he succumbed to his wounds."
"Succumbed?"
"Scott, he's dead," Stiles said.
