Josie POV:

"BABY ROCK ME LIKE A WAGON WHEEL!"  I can hear my alarm going off as I put my pillow over my head trying to ignore my alarm. "Alright, Alright!" Grumbling to myself as get out of bed to get my iPhone from my desk. I smile as I see a text from my very best friend Ed; saying that he would be arriving home sometime this week. I text him back saying I couldn't wait til he comes home. Ive been getting pretty lonely just me in our apartment.

If you're thinking that I like Ed as just more than a friend, then you're dead wrong. I mean I do love Eddy but just as my brother and nothing more. That's what he was to me since day we met and hes always been there for me no matter what.

I walked over to my bathroom and I got ready to go to the gym. I threw my hair into a pony tail then I lazily walked back into my room. I put on some work out clothes and grabbed a swimsuit to throw into my gym bag. I went into the kitchen to make a bowl of cereal for a small breakfast. Being the growing girl that I am I also, devoured an apple. I finished my breakfast and put my dirty dishes in the sink knowing that I would eventually get around to cleaning them.

I grabbed my phone from my desk and my gym bag from my bed. I put in my headphones and decided to walk to the gym this morning. Ed would send me playlist once a week and I would send him one back. He sent me his latest playlist last night. I haven't listened to it but I did scroll through the songs. I laughed when I saw that he had sent me the Take Me Home album by One Direction. I wasn't the one of the millions of girls who were completely obsessed with them. I think they are a little overrated to be quite honest. Don't get me wrong they're a good band but I never got around to listening to their stuff.

I made my way out the door and made sure I locked the door behind me. It was a beautiful day out and it was still quiet out since no one had left for work yet. The gym is a solid 15 minute walk from my flat but it's not too bad. Before I know it, I end up right in front of the gym doors. I pulled my headphones out as I said good morning to Jack who works the front desk. Then I headed towards the locker room to get ready for my workout. I threw my stuff into a locker and put my headphones back in. I went over to the punching bag and I grabbed gloves from the bin. I turned on American Idiot by Green Day and put on the gloves. I punched the bag for half an hour then walked over to the rest of the gym equipment. One hour into it, I noticed more people were starting to come in so, I went back to the locker room.

I changed into my swim suit, grabbed a towel and headed over to the pool. I was swimming laps for about an hour before deciding that my workout was enough for the day. I walk over to my locker grabbed all my stuff; I changed into some leggings and my er mer gherd crew neck. I threw my workout clothes into my bag and put on my mint vans.

I brushed through my hair and let my damp straight hair down because I would shower when I get home. I look the mirror making sure I look presentable but I look no different than any other eighteen year old girl. I tucked my hair behind my ear and made sure there was nothing in my teeth. Im fit because I was a swimmer ever since I was eleven. I always felt at ease in the water it felt like nothing else mattered and nothing could touch me.

Although, I do have some insecurities because I was bullied before I moved to London. Im actually from Chicago back in the states. I was fourteen when I persuaded my parents into letting me apply to Thomas Mills High School. They said yes, but only if I were to be accepted. After my great application and essay on bullying, the school also offered me a athletic scholarship to swim for their team.

Trust me, my parents were reluctant to send me away but they knew I really wanted to go. They didn't know I was bullied because I didn't want them to worry about me. All I needed was a clean slate especially during high school. My host family, The Millers, are like my second family. They were the ones who introduced me to Ed. He lived a few doors down from us and would always be over at the house hanging out with my brothers. We instantly clicked even though he's a few years older than I am.
