Whoooops it's been a month since I updated this book-

Sorry guys! I'm starting to make a system for myself when updating books, so hopefully it works and stuff like this won't happen again ;-;

I'm also sorry this one's short, I promise the next chapter will have much more.

[ᒲᒷᒲ𝙹∷||'s POV (hehe I learned the Standard Galactic Alphabet >:D)]

"You weren't supposed to break in, you were only supposed to scout around for information!" I yell at the two swirled figures in front of me, who flinch slightly.

They stare blankly, yet still terrified, unable to speak. Right... the way they're created isn't able to give them voices. I need to adjust that later. I sigh and calm down, knowing I'll just make them decompose themselves again if they reach a certain level of stress. One is already slightly melting.

"...Whatever. He'll just die sooner, then." I say. "Go on, get out of here. I need to adjust my plan."

The figures turn and run to the doorway, bumping into each other multiple times on the way out. How in the Realm are they so stupid? I guess I do have limited resources... ugh. I wish that Origin didn't take my powers all those years ago, this would be so much easier. In fact, if I did have my original powers, I could have gone about this in an entirely different way... however, what has happened has happened, and I need to work with what I have.

Taking these Memarionettes for example, or just 'Memariones'. Since I can no longer create things using normal methods, I've had to use matter from tons of dead animals just to give them bodies. Their early versions were horrifying, which was good, but I didn't like it. I then used natural dyes and some potions to give them more form and actual skin and color, which brought forth their current forms. Not so bad for a second pass, if I do say so myself. I'm just surprised it took so very long for me to figure it out.

However... that bunch of Steves and that robot that arrived to protect Sabre proved to be troublesome. I might have underestimated them then, but now I know that I need to up my game. This means I need to move forward with my Memariones sooner than I had expected. I need to make them stronger and more durable, on top of creating new types of them to better suit certain situations.

For now, I need to make my plan match the new environment it's taking place in. I had not known how much this Realm had changed since I had last seen it, so I was blindsided by the appearance of those guards and their captain. I need to go from killing their 'Hero' slowly to moving in on offense, as just letting the Memariones wander around near Sabre to progress the virus will most likely only get them destroyed.

Hm... Where is that Warden DNA I collected...?

[M's POV]

This is turning into more of a mess than it already is.

It's now morning again, and the happenings of last night have reached across the kingdom. People are getting scared, not just for Sabre's safety, but for their own as well. What even are those things that broke into the lab? What did they do to Sabre?

Speaking of the lab... I enter again, looking for the Professor. As I guessed, he's in the observation room again watching over Sabre. Time is there as well, worriedly checking back and forth between the monitor the Professor is looking at and Sabre. They turn to me as I walk into the room.

"Everything alright in here?" I ask.

"I guess..." Time mumbles.

"Eh... as okay as it can be." The Professor says. "He still hasn't woken up."

"That's... worrying." I say. "Well, last night you mentioned that new symptoms have shown. Do you mind telling us what they are now?"

"Yes, I suppose I should." Professor Red says, picking up a clipboard. "So, first off is the obvious; He's becoming paler. That's due to the virus starting to weaken his systems. Next is related to that one, he's becoming physically weaker as the virus progresses because of it attacking his motor systems specifically. I don't know why it's doing that, but it is. Finally, this virus is affecting Sabre's heart the most. It's causing interruptions and other problems, making it so it has trouble beating occasionally. That's what's been causing his pain."

"That... does explain why he's been coughing up blood." I mumble.

"Have you made any progress on finding out what this virus is?" Time asks. "So we can find a cure?"

"Haven't been able to, I have to keep an eye on him in case he suddenly has another episode." The Professor says. "I asked the Assistant to do that, but he hasn't come back to me with anything for a while."

"I can go check, since you have to stay here." Time says.

"That'd help, thanks." Professor Red says, and Time leaves the room to find the Assistant.

As I look over the Professor's work, I must admit, if we knew what exactly Sabre was this would be easier. We have no idea what reactions to illness are normal or not for him, and those cures from the Green Kingdom might not have worked because of his slightly different biology than us. However, this is no time for such experimentation. We need to help Sabre, and fast. We don't know how much longer he has before this virus brings his end...

I just hope it's not soon.
