you leaned back, nervously drumming your fingers on the table's worn out white tablecloth. you were a new survivor at the manor, and this was only your fourth match. so far, all of them were hellish. even 'hellish' was an understatement. you took in a shaky inhale, and looked at the people who surrounded you. naib and fiona to your right, and margaretha to your left. margaretha was quick to approach you when you joined the manor, and her cheerful (and slightly flirty) nature made you feel at ease. fiona was kind, but not much conversation could be made with her if you weren't talking about the god she worshipped. naib... his harsh and brash nature, and the fact he basically towered over you made you cower in fear. you were glad margaretha was here, cause god knows what you would do without her.

a quiet 'good luck' somehow made its way past your lips, and you heard margie also say good luck. hearing her voice ring throughout your ears eased your anxieties as your vision faded to black.

soon, you regained your vision, and looked around you. the eerie, but somehow still cheerful music immediately let you recognize you were on moonlit river. you spawned near the rollercoaster, and on the opposite side was a cipher. you whisper praises for your luck and start to decode.

you were a pharmacist, and you could give out certain medications and such that would give buffs to your teammates. since you were new to the manor, many people didn't trust your drugs quite yet- you could understand that. you were a support/kiter, but somehow you didn't have trouble decoding these machines at all.

while you continued decoding, you couldn't help but notice fiona's constant pinging of 'follow me!' and 'help me!'. it was getting quite annoying, honestly, but it perked your interest when margie had responded with 'stay put. i'm coming!' you shrugged, and continued decoding.

two machines eventually popped, and neither the priestess nor dancer have been hit. though, you noticed fiona had contained the hunter for 120 seconds while margie had just reached her 60 second mark. were they kiting together? there was no way a hunter would be that bad.. maybe they were having a bad day. speaking of the hunter, who was it, anyway? you snapped out of your thought when you heard margie shout.

'follow me!' fiona had also said that earlier. something was definitely up. you inhaled, before deciding to follow margaretha's voice. she pinged 'follow me!' three or four more times your entire walk there.

you ended up at the large circus tent, and you were surprised to see fiona and margie with the hunter, robbie, the axe boy. you were confused though, why wasn't he hitting them? you vividly remember having your second match with him, and only one of you had escaped. so why was he being nice? you poked margie in the back lightly, and she spun around.

"uh, margie? what's going on here?" you asked sheepishly, tilting your head. she gasped, happy to see you, putting her hands on either side of your face.

"doll, you finally came! i wonder how many pings it was going to take me," she giggled, one of her hands covering her mouth for a second, before she placed it back on your face. "robbie here decided to be a dear and give us a free win! isn't that just lovely, (n/n)?" the nicknames she gave you made your pinks turn a slight rosey hue. you weren't used to being payed attention to like this.

"oh, really? that's suprising.. never thought the hunters would have a friendly side.." you shot a glance in robbie's direction, and it looked like he was having the time of his life with fiona. fiona had noticed you looking, and waved hello. she looked around, before she her hands on her hips, cocking an eyebrow.

"hey, has anyone seen that mercenary?" she asked, and margie blew a disappointed raspberry.

"pfft, that grump? no way he would join us-" she was cut off by the said man entering.
