—— NEW YEAR'S EVE

its almost been two years since heeseung and I started this fake dating thing, two years? Can you believe that time went by that fast?

in these two years, I've found someone, learned to mourn without completely ripping myself apart and watched my brother grow up. Now that the kid worked it out and has a girlfriend, he doesn't really bother me like he used to, but that's all part of maturing.

"hey, lee. You want to go somewhere we haven't gone in so long?" I turn to face him, the male is confused, he tilts his head waiting for me to go on.

I get up and put on my coat, scarf and hat. Without a say, he does the same. "You're not going to tell me where we're going?"

"think of it as a surprise Hmm?" I winked, I'm pretty sure he already will know where we're going by the directions we're walking in.

"you don't even have to surprise me because I already know where you're taking me, the place where it all started." his arm wraps around my waist, and I grinned.

entering the tunnels, it looks the same as always. But it made sense because no one was ever there, expect for one minor detail.

there was writings of me on heeseung on the left side of the tunnel, but on the right side there was completely new writing.

"Jaehoon + Miyeon"

"looks like they found it too." my lips curved up as I stare at all the writings they wrote together. "I still wonder how to made up after that kiss near the lake." I chuckled.

"cause on that side of that very wall is where I couldn't take it anymore." I pointed to our side of the wall, the day where heeseung and I made our relationship real.

I grabbed the cans of spray paint from my bag and emitted a smug look. "You thinking what I'm thinking Lee?"

"Oh I'm thinking exactly what you're thinking, joy."

I handed him the spray can, and together we spent the night making art. "joyseung. <3" and the moment it hit 12 you could see the bursts of color in the sky, it showed brightly from where we were in the tunnels.

"happy new year lee, another year we're going to spend the best of together."

"happy new year jia." he said my name, my actual name and pressed his lips gently upon mine whilst the fireworks were brighter than ever.

and when I thought life wouldn't get better, it did. In moments that I wouldn't expect, but things are better when it's unexpected.

the kiss was broke off by coughing from behind, heeseung and I turned our heads to see the two. "jaehoon, miyeon." I smiled.

"joyyyy, you never told me you knew the tunnels!" jaehoon points at the wall where our writing is.

"you knew all this time and you never mentioned it either wimp." I point to his side of the wall, and snicker.

"happy new year losers." miyeon smirks, pulling out something shiny from her pockets. Throwing in the air, confetti.

you always need confetti.

with heeseung being close to me, I could smell the cologne. Her cologne, and my eyes trailed up to the fireworks. I smiled, "happy new year to you too, I miss you everyday." I whisper, knowing that she's looking down, watching me.

heeseung who heard, shifts his eyes down at me. And kisses the top of my head, pulling me in close. "proud of you jang." he whispers.

All four of us watch the fireworks together in the cold, cherishing being with each other on this special day.

COLOGNE.

—— the end.

( epilogue will be out soon. )

thank you all who have been here for this story. I cherish every single one of you who reads my books and enjoys them. You probably will expect an announcement of a new book that I usually release in a few minutes after ending my latest book but this time there will be no announcement.

I haven't worked on a book to update after this one and I have yet to decide what I am going to publish next, so I guess I can say I'm going to be gone for a while working on a book.

if you want to talk to me the message box is always there. Love, flickerhoon !
