it's thursday morning, you wake up and stretch and check the time, your late to school you honestly couldn't care at this point about school or getting sent to the office or getting detention but yet you still rushed to put on your clothes and try make yourself look somewhat decent and left your house.

you haven't spoke to eddie since what happened between you and your father but you did watch him leave his van, walk in the hallways, sitting in the cafeteria and in some of your classes, you guys would lock eyes ever so often, you were still embarrassed having eddie witness what you went through, you didn't like people knowing about the struggles in your life so it made you paranoid sometimes wondering if eddie was going to tell anyone.

you had english first, you walked into the classroom seeing yet again jason has stole your seat and went to the seat at the back next to the window, you didn't mind the new seat you were sorta glad you could look out the window and daydream in class barely getting noticed by the teacher but you realise.. eddie sits right next to you now wish made you a bit uncomfortable with the seat but ignored it and stared out the window while other students walked in.

you hear someone sit down in the seat beside you and you turn your head around and see eddie relax in his seat, he looks over at you while you go to continue looking out the window.

"y/n..hey"

he looks at you then his hands and starts playing with the ring on his index finger then looks back at you

"hi..eddie" you look down at your desk trying to not make eye contact with him

he notices how odd you've been and begins to lean closer to you

"we uh- could we talk about-" he said quietly when you cut him off in a annoyed tone

"talk about what?...there's nothing to talk about." you say raising your voice but not so much that others could hear, you stand up pick up your bag and storm out the classroom before the teacher could come in.

you made your way to the back of the school, sat down on a bench and took out your cigarette, you don't know why you acted like that, you really like eddie but acted like you hated him, you don't know what's going on with your feelings or thoughts with eddie it was confusing, you felt bad he's only trying to be nice or caring. why do you push him away?

suddenly you hear the back doors open which made you jump and now standing up with your cigarette behind your back in case it was a teacher but instead it was eddie.

"y/n! what the fuck?!?" eddie snaps walking up to you

"god..leave me alone eddie!"

you roll your eyes and sit back down and continue to smoke your cigarette looking down at your shoes

"why have you been avoiding me?"

eddie sits beside you laying his head against the wall, you look up at him

"i haven't..." you muttered

"you have y/n, you haven't talked to me since i found you on the ground that night.." eddie quickly replies now looking at you, he look pissed off but also sad

"well you haven't talked to me either eddie so-"
you start to ramble but get instantly cut off

"do you regret it..."

he said as he looked into your glistening eyes, he looked upset but also like he was trying to hold himself together and act "cool" about it, your face formed into a confused expression figuring out what he meant by that, then you realise he was talking about the kiss you look back down at your shoes

"no it's that-"
you look at back up at him as he quickly replies

"that what..?"

you try find the words to express to eddie why you have been distant, you sighed and put your head into your hands then look back at him

"it's just that we've only just properly met eddie and i wasn't thinking straight and got lost in the moment and i just felt embarrassed after everything that happened that night after i left your trailer and you found me but...no i don't regret it...i'm sorry"

you rambled on, after you just looked at eddie and waited for his response, he put his hand on your shoulder.

"well y/n if i'm being honest i don't regret it either...but um you shouldn't be embarrassed after what happened it was a crazy night and i'm totally willing to forget about it but what happened to you after you left my trailer?"

he laughed but then asked concerned when he mentions what happened, you sighed and told eddie the truth about how your father is a alcoholic and how he was just angry that night, eddie looks furious that someone like your father would've caused this but then looks at you upset and hugs you, he smelled like weed and cologne

"how about we ditch this shithole?"

he smirks trying to cheer you up and to move on from this whole conversation you just had, you laugh and agreed, you both got into eddie's van and spent the whole day together laughing and mocking eachother and getting to know him even more and you told him you also lived in the trailer park which made  him smile.

you both go to eddie's trailer, you jump out of his van and see max feeding her dog she notices you and waves and you waved back while entering eddie's trailer, eddie played "Halloween" on the television you both enjoyed horror movies so you both sat down and watched the movie. after awhile of silence eddie scoots closer to you on the couch you don't notice since your eyes are set on the movie, he puts his arm out resting on the head on the couch behind you, it was like having his arm around you. you get tired and lean on eddie shoulder drifting to sleep during the middle of the movie, he looks down at you for awhile smiling and starts playing with your hair

once the movie was over eddie gently nudged your shoulder and whispered your name, you hummed as your eyes fluttered open you lean back up from eddie's shoulder and give him a smile and you both get up as eddie leads you to the door and you too both say goodbye, you walk back to your trailer looking back at eddie as he's closing his door, you get into your room , change into your pyjamas and get to bed and drift back to sleep thinking of your day with eddie.
