No one responded after I said that. Did hia ignore it, knowing it's me? Is he angry?
I am on the verge of crying because of the thought that hia doesn't want to talk to me right now. I need to talk to him to clarify everything. I rang the bell again, hoping for hia to answer it but instead of a voice from the intercom, the gate of the house opened, revealing hia in his casual clothes.
He looks shocked to see me outside his house.
Seeing his face made me emotional that it made me run to him to hug him. It took some time before he could hug me back.
"Nu, what are you doing here? How did you know my address?"
"Hia..." I was already crying.
"You are misunderstanding something. Please listen to me."
Zee's POV
Nu is crying while hugging me. I was confused about where did he get my address? What is he doing here? And why is he crying?
"Hia...You are misunderstanding something. Please listen to me."
I pulled him to get inside my house. I live alone because my parents are busy with their business abroad so they rarely go home.
I settled him in the living room and get him some water to calm him down before I sat beside him ready to listen to what he was about to say.
"Hia you are misunderstanding something. The person I like is not P'Max"
"But everyone knew about it Nu you liked him for a long time and yesterday you are with him right? That's why you forgot about our meet-up in the cafe?"
Nu looked shocked at what I revealed.
"How did you know we were together yesterday hia?"
Zee smiled bitterly, "I saw you two yesterday when I was on my way home."
"It's not what it seems to be hia. Yes, yesterday I was with P'Max but he's not why I forgot about our meet-up, we just met coincidentally and he offered me a ride home because my house is in the same direction as his."
Maybe Nu saw that I was not convinced with what he said. So he continues explaining.
"Yesterday it's true that something came up, Nat did not come to school the whole day so it made me wonder why he was absent, and then I received a message from him saying he was sick so I got worried and quickly went to his apartment but it turns out that it was a prank and then on my way to find a taxi I met P'Max and he offered me a ride home and that's what I guess the moment you saw me with him."
"I don't like him anymore hia, I swear."
"So it's not Max... Then who is the person you like? You told me that I know who that person is, is he one of my friends?"
He looked at me intently before he spoke.
"It's you hia, the person I like is you he said without breaking his eye contact with mine."
"I've liked you for a while now hia and I am sorry for not acknowledging your feelings before. I don't want to assume anything, I want to hear it from you."
"I like you hia."
His words filled my stomach with butterflies. I felt my face blush fuck this, I feel like a teen. I avoided his gaze because it was so intense, that it made me feel shy.
"Hia why are you not looking at me did you already change your mind about wanting to court me? " his sad voice made me look at him quickly to deny what he said.
"No, Nu it's not like that... I'm just shy, hearing you confess." My voice at the end was so low that I felt that he wouldn't hear it.
I heard him laugh so it made me look back at him.
"Why are you laughing?"
"It's just that you are cute hia, I never expect to see you like this."
"Stop laughing." he stopped but he still looks like he was just suppressing his laugh inside.
Nunew's POV
I held back my laughter because hia looks like a kid sulking now. But I guess it was still evident in my face that I want to laugh, it made hia pout, which again amazed me I never knew hia can be like this. He looks like a very cool person, I am glad that I am seeing this version of him now.
"Awhhh hia ok I'll stop laughing now," I said as I leaned in to hug him, he hugged me back and it was the best feeling ever, the warmth and comfort that I feel every time we hug is priceless.
"So, Nu you are giving me a chance to court you now right?"
"Do you still want to court me?"
"Of course, I want you to be my boyfriend so I need to court you."
"I mean hia you can be my boyfriend now without the courting it'll end up the same."
He pulled away from the hug, with his face in a tone of pink, and look at me in disbelief.
"Nu as much as I want us to be together already, I still want to court you, I want us to get through this process. I want to make you feel how special you are to me and how much I feel for you before you decide to be my boyfriend because you deserved that Nu."
His words melt my heart how can this man be so sweet, I can't believe he still wants to court me after I offered him to be my boyfriend without him courting me. I got lucky to have this man.
"Fine then starting today you are my suitor."
He smiled happily at me and then hugged me tightly.
"Thank you Nu, I'll make sure to make you happy."
"Let's be happy together Hia."
