" ...Well? "

" Well what? "

" ..What are we going to do with him. "

Noises came from an alley somewhere in the streets of an unknown city. The alley laid barren, desolate and devoid of anything other than conversation of two men. The words echoed across dirty brick walls accompanied with occasional dripping that was heard from somewhere nearby. Sometimes a car would pass by and It's headlights would shine on the men. Only then would they really get to see the mess in front of them.

" Why are you asking me? This was your plan. You should know what to do. " One of them said, bending down with his knees to get a better look at the body in front of them both. " I didn't think I'd actually get this far. You should know better than to trust me with these kind of things you know. " the other replied grumbling. Hot pink frizzy hair was illuminated by the moonlight and yet another cars headlights. Harsh emerald eyes and a hooked nose, snakebite piercings and dark indigo lipstick smudged on his lips, hair dotted with black and faint freckles scattered across his sharp features.

" Well we have to get rid of it one way or another, you know I can't have things like this on my record. " The man sighed and got up. He pushed back his blonde bangs and let his hand rest on the back of his head as he thought. Lavender jacket and an exotic tie, dull diamond eyes and baggy pants. They were standing in front of a bloodied corpse.

" We can just throw him in a lake you know, It's not that big of a deal. "
" Are you kidding me? And risk getting caught immediately? "
" Well do you have a better idea? "

Silence.

" ..No. "

People walked by left and right. Some in a hurry to get home, others just happy they finally finished a long ride. Even though it was late outside, it didn't affect the amount of people storming in day and night in the subway. It was always this busy. There were always at least a handful of people in there. Sure you'd see people with great talents sometimes, or people who expressed themselves in the most bizarre and unique ways. People who didn't fit into what would be considered the norm. Amongst the masses of people, you could always find one of these. A person wanting to be considered different. Someone who wants to be seen as distinct, separate, contrasting and most of all, individual. Someone with an aching desire to be deemed as something disparate. Why would they want that? These thoughts ran through the mind of one person, and one person only. Monotone expression and pastel clothes. Blue eyes and blonde untrimmed hair resting on his neck, only the back was untrimmed of course. Everything else was in tip top shape. Though the way he presented himself to the world was extraordinary and he stuck out like a sore thumb in a crowd of people, he was against standing out completely. He was an average everyday man. He'd go to work and return just like everyone else. Always before 20:00, never more than that. Not married though and had no children. He didn't have any bad habits like smoking or anything of the kind. Maybe he'd occasionally drink a couple glasses of wine or whiskey. But that's about it. Everyone who knew him said the same thing about him, average. The most plain man to exist. Of course, that was just a disguise. A disguise to hide something truly sinister and disgusting. After all, anyone who could think could be boring by will. But only a sociopath could utilise it to his advantage, a way to be hidden in plain sight. That's how he managed to stay under the radar for 15 years.

Even if he had his "Urges" at times, he hated it. A constant reminder that he could never have what he wanted. A fated worker to his passions, he had to comply. The one thing he wanted was a peaceful life. Free of disturbances, free of crime. Following a plan 24/7 to his grave. Some might've called it unbearable. Stuck doing the same office job until he was worked to death, but to him it was a dream. A routine of the same thing, a routine to live by.

He walked his way through the crowd of people packed in the subway. It was full, too full to his liking but he couldn't do anything about it. He had to be somewhere, a special meeting with only the highest supervisors in his office and boss. He had already started to sweat, looking around at the different trains and people passing by. he had no clue which train he had to take. His ticket read a train number and a place called "Ōfunato". He had never been there so it was quite the trouble figuring out which way to go. However after asking some strangers he figured out which train it was and hurried on. It wasn't very far away from his hometown but it wasn't a 10 minute walk either. He sat down on one of the dull blue chairs and prepared himself to travel for 25 minutes. It was a train ride from Sendai station to Kitaura station, after that he would travel for 4 more hours and 7 minutes exactly to get there. Normally he would pass on a meeting if it took this long. However, he could potentially get promoted and was tempted to go. He rose his suitcase to his lap and let out a sigh. He hadn't eaten anything yet so he'd thought about getting off somewhere to grab a bite to eat, and then continuing his trip. Lost in his thoughts he wonders if a nap would shorten the train ride. So he leans back and closes his eyelids, dozing off quietly as the last people enter and the train starts to head towards Kitaura station.

" Sir, you have to get off in 5 minutes. "

He jolts awake, covered in a thin layer sweat he looks around confused. " What? Excuse me could you repeat that? " he mumbled half awake. Looking over to the window then back to the lady next to him. " It's 22:02. The train is almost at the next stop, I think you should get up. " She said, smiling sweetly at him. " I'm getting off there too, do you want to grab a coffee with me there? ". Tired eyes ran over the woman. She wasn't particularly bad looking or anything, and she was nice too. Even though he wasn't interested in going anywhere. He thought about it. Batting his eyes over her hands as he made up his decision. He swept his hair back and considered the offer. Sighing as he began to speak, " Sure, if there are any cafes open at all. " The woman giggled at that, getting up and reaching her hand out to him. " Okay, let's go. "

He got out as the train stopped It's movement. Holding his suitcase firmly in his grip as he followed the woman in front of him. They walked through a busy street. Small shops and markets littered the streets along with bright festive lights. Anywhere your eyes could go was something for sale. Was it souvenirs, food or clothes, it was everywhere. A bit taken aback by the gleeful sights everywhere he continued on. A bit later they arrived at a small cafe. However upon seeing the dimmed lights he wasn't so sure if it was open. He looked back to the woman next to him, who was now wearing a sad expression. " It's okay, I didn't feel like having coffee anyway. " He admitted bluntly, fixing his gaze on his watch to see what time it is. The small clock read 22:17. He was aware he walked for a while but not that long. " Hey, how about we go to a restaurant instead? " He offered. Watching the woman's eyes light up with excitement. " Oh—! Ahaha, I didn't know you were still interested? I mean— sure we can go! Uhm I know a good one around this corner? " The woman beamed. " We have to go through this alley though... You're not afraid of the dark are you? " She said laughing. She reached out her hand to him once again, and he followed. They kept walking. Walking and walking until they turned a right and were at the alley the woman had mentioned before. It looked untidy. Cobwebs and bugs roamed over the walls, garbage on the floor everywhere ranging from cigarette buds to numerous amounts of paper. Some crumpled some still very visible. " Wow It's really dark.. " The woman laughed nervously. " I'm a bit scared. Erm... would mind if I clung to your arm a bit? Not a lot of course— Just until we get through this? " She said rising her hand to grip on the man's jacket. He was silent. " Hey, I never got your name. What.. is it? " The man just kept walking. It seemed like forever until he replied.

" ...Kira "
