Soon enough the police and ambulance came and got Tera and Vicki's father separated and the medical help they would need, and they broke the quote bewildered Vicki out of her room. She was carrying bags loaded with the little amount of personal belongings she had and settled her with Katya for the night, or foreseeable future.
It was like everything froze. Nobody knew what to do, how to react. Everything froze. Vicki had a cot set up in Katya's room, and Tera had finally finished treatment. No broken bones, but many a bruise and potential scar. She definitely laid a couple blows to Vicki's dad, leaving him mangled as well, with a broken nose and blood everywhere.
Tera was ordered to stay home for a while, due to both her minor injuries and her parents not being very happy she was picking fights with adults much older than she was.
Nevertheless life dragged on. It seemed as I all plans were postponed, though, until everything blew over.
