The Origin Of X

We all wonder what the light at the end of the tunnel is. The answer is another world that everyone passes to called the Soul Society. Once your time in the world of the living has come to an end, you move forward in another. Of course there are dark paths even in the afterlife. Hell is real, dark spirits as well; the things we don't see that are there. There are, have been, and always will be people who have a strong connection to the world of these spirits and unseen worlds and events. In this world known as the Soul Society, the souls that have departed from the world of the living live here as they did before, some born in new bodies. Some born as they were when they left. Then there are some that are of the most rare. Every being has a dormant power of spiritual energy. Those rare ones have an amount so high and potent, it can reshape the world if not controlled. In this year of 1890, the most rare occasion to have ever been recorded had become an unfathomable reality, not just one nor two but three souls with world ending power had entered the Soul Society.
One of these souls from the world of the living born as Jin Izumi, was the first to enter. Born out of wedlock, from freeman Benjamin Johnson and lover Yuna Izumi. Jin had to be hidden from the family he was born to. His father, Benjamin, a free man from the slavery of America, still had been the subject of heinous acts sought freedom in the lands of another. The generosity of a ship captain gave Benjamin only one destination that would be better he deemed. Feeling as though the option was best he took it and set off to Okinawa Japan. After that long journey, he came ashore and he was still met with stares and small amounts of subjugation. However he took up residence with a community that was also outcasted and called it home. As time had progressed, Benjamin had started melding into the new culture. So much so he had caused his own misfortune despite his friend's warnings by getting far to familiar with a woman he shouldn't have. Yuna Izumi, the daughter to an aristocratic family, had become infatuated with Benjamin. She rebelled against the arrangement of a marriage that was set for her. She had met Benjamin in a secluded area of a park by accident. Sharing their stories of hardship with one another had caused them to come close and therefore after fall in love. This dangerous forbidden love of theirs was never going to be accepted, let alone be allowed. Yuna with her strong beliefs in the Shinto gods had sought their guidance when the confirmation of her pregnancy was told to her. The priest had told her that this young boy is unlike any other and will be a force that can rival that of the gods.

Before anyone in her family could confirm the relationship, the couple ran as far as they could. After weeks of escaping, they made a home in the mountainous region of Hokkaido. Not too long after healthy Jin Izumi is born, with the aid of some Shinto shrine attendants. With their help, the Izumi family is kept hidden to outsiders and those who would seek them.  This happy family however was not to last as they would have intended. Yuna had fallen ill and passed away some years after. Upon seeing his mother take her last breath at the age of 10, he sees a black butterfly come in the room. As clear as day, he sees a woman in a big white jacket with the number 4 on its back kneel down and extends her hand out towards where his mother lay. He then sees his mother rise and take a hold of the woman's hand, Jin is caught in a fixated stare. In disbelief, his mother turns to him and smiles. With her always calm, loving voice she says, "I'll be fine Jin, I love you". The woman turns to see Jin as Yuna addressed him. She also gives him a calm, tender smile as she takes the hilt of her katana and lightly pressed it to Yuna's forehead. Jin goes to the head priest and repeats what he had witnessed. Fearing he is losing himself from the shock of losing his mother, the priest says, "Dear child, you've just witnessed the passing of your mother going into the next world. Fear not, she is safe and well. The Shinigami can assure us of this."Jin obviously confused, couldn't even get another question before the head priest spoke again, "Worry not young Izumi. We can help you answer most of the questions you have".

Years of tutoring go by and Jin only becomes more attuned to the spirits that roam around him; even forming bonds with some. Even though he is not a Shinigami, he has even performed kónso for the restless spirits as a human. Having the friendly spirits and his studies helped him cope with loss of his parents. Especially since he lost his father to a dark, corrupted spirit. Jin had lost his father to an evil force that is unknown to him. This evil force is known as a Hollow. Jin only knew that along with good, there is also malicious. He could not bring himself to have full disdain towards the malicious. From his years of learning and practice, he was starting to develop a sense of those that were malicious before and those that became malicious against their will. At the age of 20 Jin had passed on to the Soul Society from the same illness that had taken his mother. He refused to take the medicine that would have helped him because he wanted to see the woman in the white haori again. He wanted to know if he could see his family again. He also wanted to know what the truths of the spirit world and more that he could not see. When he drew his last breath, he saw a Shinigami greet him and perform the kónso. When he opened his eyes, there he was, in the Rukon District of the Soul Society.

After letting the reality of his being there sink in, he ventured toward the town in search of someone who could give him some help. Upon entering town, the citizens were elated to make his acquaintance. However he was met with difficulties, due to the fact that people would be unable to move in his presence. Most flatten as if gravity was heavily intensified. Afraid of hurting people, he set up his own home away from others. A few months pass and he is suddenly greeted by a familiar figure. The flowing white coat he had seen as a child is now before him. Once again the mysterious woman says, "Good morning Jin Izumi. My name is Retsu Unohana and I am the Captain of Squad 4 of  the Gotei 13 in the Seireitei". It is from then on, Unohana explains the basics of the Soul Society and the Seireitei to Jin. She even explains that the reason for him unable to be around others is because of his innate spiritual pressure. Unohana had started teaching him ways to control his immense power as well as some basics of a Shinigami. Unfortunately, Unohana was only able to do this for only a month, due to the Captain duties she had to do. Short as it was, it had been more than enough for Jin to train on his own and become stronger over the days until he felt ready enough to join the Soul Reaper Academy. In his days of training, he came across two souls that easily withstood his immense power. Without hesitation, Jin moved to befriend them and eventually became a second family with them. Darren Woods and Semaj were the two souls that could equal Jin's power. Jin shared the knowledge he got from Unohana with the both of then. Each of their life stories, a brotherly bond between the three was forever ingrained. For the next nine years they grew, lived and fought together only strengthening the bond. The bond did not waiver at all, even when Jin joined the academy and graduated within one year, same as another by the name of Gin Ichimaru. With the highest recommendation, accolades and rewards, Jin joined the Seireitei under squad 9. Soon after his brothers of now ten years had been recruited as well. Darren for his immense strength and power was looked at as a candidate for squad 11 Captain in the future, Semaj recruited for his cunning and stealth was brought into Squad 2. A short time after, Jin is brought in under Captain Kensei Muguruma. The events of the hollowfication set up by Aizen are put into action. Hearing about the trial of Kisuke Urahara, the events he's been accused of Jin grows suspicious. Before Kisuke and Yuroichi were labeled to be exiled, Jin decided to launch his own investigation Over the next few years, he learns of the history of the Seireitei for the last two thousand years. While keeping himself at safe distance from many people, while still managing to fulfill his duties, he comes to a conclusion. He must be the most powerful in order to prevent any other "unforeseen" events from repeating. After a decade Jin, Darren, and Semäj tired of Yamamoto's equipment weakening them, they go to the Royal Guard and request special made haori and Zanpakuto that suited them. The Royal Guard is completely astonished by the fact that three non-captain soul reapers made it there in minutes, when it take a week to reach. Jin and his group were given Reishi siphoning wooden swords due to their immense power, in order to prevent the Seireitei from going off the scales. The three of them were not satisfied with this, so they decide to take their own actions. The Royal Guard in awe, decided to see if they were really this powerful or a fluke. The three were put through a gruesome training regiment over the next few weeks. Having completed this regime, the three of them were given a squadron name of their own. Ichibe had bestowed upon them the name Generation X Squadron. The three were equipped with specially made robes and haori, otherworldly zanpakto, with this godly prowess they could no longer take residence in the Seireitei. The power they possessed would crumble the Seireitei. Jin proposed an idea to his brothers, with his godly spiritual power he was able to traverse through dimensions and suggested that Semaj and Darren travel around whilst he remains, giving all information to them from the Soul Society. Agreeing to this, especially since they have the go ahead from Ichibe that's what they do. The secret of Squad X was kept a secret unless it is deemed necessary to deploy them.

Over the next eight decades Squad X is the most powerful and knowledgeable of all soul reapers. Jin has been trying to keep Aizen under surveillance without alerting him. He knows Aizen is not to be trusted, though he cannot prove it without issue. Jin sees Aizen go to the world of the living but is unsure why. All the while, feigning loyalty to Kaname; the now current captain of Squad 9. Deeming Kaname unworthy of his position, Jin plans to take the spot himself. Kaname's ideals and teachings are very questionable. No to mention, the unease he gets from a man that can't be read. Jin makes plans in preparation for whatever Aizen, Kaname and Gin may have in mind. As well as keeps Darren and Semaj involved in all events. Jin tells them, "Whatever, whenever it is we'll be ready."

May of 2001 there is news of a new substitute soul reaper in Karakura town. Lieutenant Rukia Kuchiki goes missing; finding this to be questionable, Jin begins his reconnaissance in order to get all information. "Something is coming, it has to involve blind eyes and Aizen for sure, come what may I alone am more than enough", says Jin.
