disclaimer!! i have had a lot of complaints about this story mentioning that i made millie look like a rude and mean person, to begin with, i love millie with all of my heart and she is one of my favourite people ever, all i wanted to do was add a bit of drama to the story.

finn: yeah, it's a great song. you know, we perform quite a lot, so you can come as much as you want! we do those types of songs anyway
y/n: wow thats awsome
they stare into eachother's eyes then the rest of the gang stop talking to each other and barge in between them to congratulate finn
millie: finn you were so so so good, i love it when you sing for me
finn looks awkward
sadie: oh hey i think caleb and gaten are here!
caleb: hey sorry we missed the show gaten thought it would be a good idea to visit his grandma on the way
gaten: oh cmon we weren't that long, how'd it go anyway
finn: yeah it went good
finn is still staring at y/n
millie: so do you guys want to come to my apartment to hang?

sadie: finn you can come in the car with us

they arrive at millie's apartment
millie: hey finn, i think you did really well, you looked so cute
finn: oh uh thanks
millie: we need to go out and get snacks, who wants to come
sadie and noah: me!
millie: okay let's go
finn and y/n sit in the apartment
finn: i, uh like your hair
y/n: really? this dump?
finn: i think it looks nice
y/n: thank you
finn: so, you got any other hobbies?
y/n: i sing, sometimes. when i have time really
finn: oh that's so cool, what are your favourite bands?
y/n: i like, the cure, the beatles, mac demarco, the frights and a bit of house of pain
finn: omg!! no way! they are some of my favs! you're awsome i could kiss you!
y/n: ha um
finn: i'm sorry that came out wron-
y/n: no i understand, i just can't believe we like so many of the same bands, it's like you're the only person that understands me
millie walks in with sadie and noah behind her
millie: finnie!!! i'm back!
she walks up behind him and messes up his hair
y/n feels jealousy, even though they'd just met they felt a connection
finn: millie, stop
millie: what are you on about!!??
finn: sorry, i just, uh, got my hair done!
y/n let's out a little laugh and finn looks at her and laughs aswell
millie: fine if you want to make fun of me go ahead, me and finn are super close so we have loads of inside jokes right finn?
finn: yeah sure
millie walks away
finn: (to y/n) i can't think of one inside joke!
they both laugh
