Nior Hargreeves, originally designated as Number Zero, is one of the forty-three children born on the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989 to mothers without any previous signs of pregnancy. She was one of Eight adopted as a baby by Sir Reginald Hargreeves whose intention was training them to save the world. Ranked by their individual usefulness, Nior was Hargreeves' Number zero with the ability to create and control fire with her mind. There is no explanation to why she Is 'number Zero' but it's speculated that she may of been Reginald's favourite because of her power and how well she developed control over it so quickly.

Early years
Nior and the others made their first public appearance at a local bank. Whilst the thieves lined up the hostages, Nior strolled into the bank casually holding hands with her sister, Allison, then separating. One robber, however, noticed Alison's demeanor as she walked alone and told her to line up with the others. After Allison whispered into his ear "I heard a rumor, that you shot your friend in the foot." Everything let loose, Nior asked one of the robbers if they had a lighter then shouted the words "here" then lit the man's jacket on fire. Soon after most of the robbers were subdued, She turned away as the others watched as Ben annihilated the remaining robbers because she knew Ben was ashamed and didn't like her to see his powers even though she loved how unique and cute it was. Sir Reginald introduced the world to the inaugural class of the Umbrella Academy, but only mentioned that he adopted seven children, rather than eight. Later throughout the week, Nior exited a limousine outside of her home. Her and her siblings were intruded on by Harold Jenkins, cosplaying their outfits. Leonard attempted to console with Reginald, divulging that he was born on the same day as The academy, and would like to ally with the them. Nior held hands with Ben and watched as Reginald mortified and dragged out Harold in front of a crowd. Then and the others brushed the occurrence away and returned to their normal lives. The members, including Nior, of the Academy trained, and Sir Reginald monitored their sleep daily. All of the children, except for Viktor, were given umbrella tattoos on their wrists. Soon after, Ben and Nior started sneaking in and out of each other's rooms every night. One night they went up to the tree and burned the initials B+N on it. The only person who ever caught Ben and Nior was Klaus, who was close with both children.

Almost ten years later, the academy was estranged and the members, including Nior, went their seperate ways to strive on their own paths. We learn that Nior was the first to leave as she wanted to get away as soon as possible as the memories of her dead lover haunted her for years. When Nior left the academy she went on to beauty pageants and became Miss America quite quickly along with other titles. Nior also acquired Viktor's Autobiography Extra-Ordinary: My Life as Number Seven and was horrified by the pages within. Nior was never mean to Viktor and always offered him sweets when ever she acquired them.

Return to the academy

After wining another pageant title, she heard some girls gossiping about her father's death. Nior did not believe this and asked her manger who confirmed. The confirmation was a reminder to all the trauma and memories, so Nior left the pageant arena. The remaining members of the Hargreeves family converged on the Academy in the wake of their father's death. The reunion was fraught with tension. While Allison and Pogo were pleased to see Viktor, Diego was not since Viktor wrote a tell-all autobiography about their childhood. At the Academy and Nior was not pleased either as she had done nothing wrong towards Viktor, Nior was mad at klaus for still abusing the drugs and Alcohol, Luther went into his childhood room and put on some music. As the music played, each member of the Hargreeves family began to dance in private, showing that although they were vastly different people, there was an underlying connection between them. The dancing was interrupted by a lightning storm. Heading into the courtyard, they watched as Number Five re-appeared through a temporal anomaly.

Number Five told them about his trip to the future and his return, revealing he was really a 58-year man trapped in his 13-year old body. The Hargreeves, Pogo, and Grace held a funeral for Sir Reginald in the Academy's courtyard. The proceedings were fraught, leading to Luther and Diego coming to blows. During the fight, Ben's memorial statue was destroyed, Causing Nior to have a full mental brake down and nearly Killing Deigo and running away to her room and Diego cut Luther's arm with a knife, causing him to hide the wound and leave. At the Academy, Luther struggled to adapt to a routine on Earth after being on the Moon for four years. Viktor went and tried to comfort his sister but said the wrong thing, implying that the best place for Ben was "heaven". Nior got angry with Viktor and told him that he could not blame all his problems on their father now that he's an adult and no wonder Allison hated him.

Man on the moon :
She is the only one who noticed klaus was missing and started having a break down (which we find out it a cause of Reginald making her constantly have them to power her powers) she runs out of the academy trying to Search for her brother. When she can not find him she runs to the tree where her and bens initials are carved.

When she later finds him in the episode "Number five" she runs to him and says "You bloody idiot where have you been" and klaus goes to answers and she stops him with "I don't care, your alive, I've missed you" which ends up with both siblings in tears.

When Nior is transported to Dallas, 1959, She finds herself getting into bad habits, until February 1960 she meets klaus again as she went back to the ally every day for a whole year waiting for one of her siblings, however through this whole time Nior was still a big party girl.After stumbling upon a wealthy woman with klaus, Klaus becomes somewhat famous and amasses a large cult following momentarily. This leads Klaus to turning away from drugs and alcohol — a feat which he is able to maintain for almost four years, up until November 1963, which she was glad for.

Klaus' cult following affords him and Nior great luxuries in the 1960s, ensuring their life is greatly different than it had previously been during 2019. However she knows that Klaus can see Ben and she can't which turns her even more depressed. However, she and klaus learns that their siblings are, in fact, still alive. Allison learns that her siblings, Klaus and Nior, is still alive and visits them, explaining that she and Them both survived the transport, therefore their other siblings must've survived too.

After Nior and Klaus accepts that they and their family are responsible for the second apocalypse, They agrees to help Five restore the timeline and prevent the second apocalypse. Ben is able to save Viktor from destroying the FBI building and thus, triggering the apocalypse, but is severely injured in the process. Ben tells Viktor to pass a message on to Klaus: He was never holding him back, Ben was simply too scared to go to the light. And to also tell Nior: "I know this may seem weird but I've always watched you, and you have grown a lot, I still love you"

After this she is broken but ready to go home, then she gets home and who dose she see... her ex lover is alive? Will this send her into another depressed state?

Personality:

Nior is a damaged, fragile woman who covers her pain with Aggression, Self obsession and seriousness and slight sarcasm. She is very emotionally unstable with very deep depression and constant mental break downs.

Nior refuses acknowledges and accepts that Ben is dead however will admit that their childhood was traumatic and moves forward without dwelling on her childhood too much. It is revealed that the primary reason for depression is the fact of bens death and how quickly she was forced to "get over it". Her loyalty to Ben and also her siblings, especially, Klaus. her loyalty to her siblings is shown through her caring nature. However her she showed her loyalty to Ben as she never loved again after his passing.
