Uhh I literally got this idea this morning while playing Destiny 2 so idk how fitting to the actual cannon it'll be but I'm having it be true to my cannon and even if it's proven wrong you'll have to pry this headcannon from my cold dead hands now that I've latched onto it.
Anyway, the basic/most simplified version of this headcannon would be: Eliksni cannot see electricity like we do. And what I mean by that is, you know how sometimes when you get shocked due to static electricity or you unplug something and you see the little bolt of electricity? Yea my idea is basically the Eliksni don't see that electricity, like they got good eyesight good night vision, and they can certainly feel it but their eyes just can't pick up on electricity.
This idea came when I happened to be staring at a marauder as they went invisible, and I know the electricity is visible simply so they're not too overpowered in-game, but I was like, "what if the reason they use it is because they can't see the electricity and thus the invisibility actually works for them." I also think why the 'background' on the screens of their technology is blue, because the blue is actually the same electricity we see with the cloaking tech and they simply can't see the electricity running through the transparent screen and only see what's projected on the screen. The blue being electricity would also explain why is kinda moves and goes in one direction, because it's moving through and powering the screen.
Thinking more on it, lightning storms would probably be a lot more scary, just the sky lighting up out of nowhere with loud noises and immediately going dark again.
I'm sure I'll improve on this headcannon with time but for now this is what I have ::3
