He was speeding. She hoped there were no cops around.
The digital clock on the Lexus read '8:39 P.M.', and the AC was on the highest setting. She didn't know he liked it this cold.
"Goddammit, Ray. I told you not to get involved with those fuckers." He spoke, angry.
"What do you mean?! All I did was go on one date, he was being creepy so I slit his throat! How was I supposed to know he was part of TO?". Ray said, her words tainted with frustration.
"He was wearing purple, how did you not know?!" Said Randy.
"Oh, so no ones allowed to wear purple in this city except for them?!" She was yelling now, confused and mad.
"Hey— Lower your tone!" Said Randy in the assertive voice voice he used when he wanted her to listen to him.
Ray rolled her eyes, she was half done with his shit.

See, just a few moments earlier, Ray had called Randy in a panic.
Some members of 'The Orders' (TO) Gang were chasing her, shooting her car while she shot back through her drivers side window. Did they know she was part of Chang Gang?
'Ray? Ray, are you still there?' Randy's voice sounded grainy through the phone speaker.

'Yeah. Yeah— i'm here.'

'Where you at? Do i need to come get you or do you need to meet me somew-'

He was cut off by Rays voice.

'oh, shit—! Ow, fuck. That hurts.'

'Shit! Ray, are you hurt— What happened?'

'One of their bullets grazed my hand.'

'Are you bleeding?'

'What— What the fuck kinda question is that? Of course i'm bleeding, there's a huge gash on my hand!'

'Aight', First of all, don't get a fuckin' attitude with me. And second, where are we meetin'?'

'H&O, and get there quick. I don't know how many more hits my poor baby can take.'

'Baby?'

'My CAR you fuck!' She yelled as she hung up the phone. How the fuck is he this stupid?

Once she pulled up at H&O, Randy's Lexus was already there. She took a sharp turn into the parking lot, parked her car and ran to the Lexus. Randy had already reached over and popped the passenger door open, so she swung open the door, hopped in, then slammed it shut.
"Gotta go, they aren't too far behind." Spoke Ray.
"Yes ma'am."

Now, Randy was pulling into the cubby.
"Oh yeah, your hand." He said after noticing Ray inspecting the wound.
"It's bleeding a lot." Said Randy while reaching into the glovebox for bandages.
"No shit." Ray snapped back at him.
Randy scoffed.
"What's with the fuckin' attitude and shit?" Randy said as he was bandaging her hand, going slow to not cause her more pain.
Ray didn't respond.
Instead, she was focused on him. She felt something odd between them. Good or bad, she couldn't tell. Almost, magnetic, like a current was running through to the both of them, close to connecting.

But it's almost as if they were repelling.

Like a child trying to stick two opposite sides of a magnet together. Almost impossible.
Was she the child in that situation and he was the magnets, or was it the other way around?
She couldn't tell.

She stayed focused on his furrowed brows as he slowly finished bandaging her hand.
"I could've done that myself, y'know."
Ray said.
"With one hand? I don't think so." He responded to her sassy comment.
She rolled her eyes, not having the energy to respond. He was almost unbearable.
A knock on the passenger window caught both of their attention. To their surprise, it was Taco.
She rolled down the window with her uninjured hand. "Hey, Taquito."
"Sup, Rachel! What are you and Randy doing in a parked car? Together. Alone."
Ray looked at him, unamused. Pot-Stirring as usual.
"Just got out of a chase with TO." She responded.
"TO? Randy, aren't we allies?" Taco asked.
"Yep. Miss. Mond here may have just caused a gang war. Hopefully we can settle this before it escalates." Randy responded.
"Ughhh. I'm one of their main thermite girls, too. Vinnys gonna kill me." Ray said.
"Past tense, Rachel. TO doesn't take kindly to violence." Taco added.
"No, seriously— how was I supposed to know he was a part of TO?! If anything, they need to get better members. He was being WAY too touchy for a first date." Said Ray.
Randy felt a small pang of jealousy in his chest that he quickly brushed away.
"You could've just called me, not slit his throat!" Randy added.
"I couldn't—! That's just my normal response!" Ray yelled.
Randy sighed.
"Well, i'm glad nothing bad happened to you. Do you remember his name?"
"Uhm... Alex, I think? Oh—! Alexan McCutchen." Ray said.
"Alexan?!" Randy and Taco said unison.

A/N:
Hello there! I'm not very experienced with writing, so I hope this chapter was at least okay! Also, i'm aware TO or 'The Orders' doesn't exist! I made an imaginary gang/person so i'm not attacking anyone's gang/character! Thank you for reading :)
