Chapter 2: A New Friend, New School Year

Hey! Me again! So far I am really enjoying this story and how much I have planned out. You will see just how much influence and popularity Cameron has in the school. As well as some OCs, Cameron's friends who are of the popular clique to the geek squad, and becoming Miguel's first friend. Enjoy!

Monday, August 15th

Cameron stirs in his sleep the moment the signature alarm clock on his iPhone was blaring him awake. He gets up and immediately swipes off the alarm. Putting down his phone, he slowly gets out of his bed, stretching his back. He then stretches his arms, his calves, ankles and legs. A yawn escapes his lips the moment he walks into his bathroom.

Cameron gazes at his face through the mirror, relief and how clear and clean it is. His black hair was sloppy and all over the place.

"Typical bed hair." He mutters to himself. Exhaling, he takes his toothbrush, putting on the minty substance in the tendrils and instantly brushes his teeth. After a careful 5 minutes of cleaning his teeth and flossing it for extra care, with an additional 10 minutes of showering, he changes into his clothes for the first day of school. Donning a white button down shirt, slim beige khakis, navy blue high tops, and a slim blazer matching the shoes. He starts Slicking back his black hair in a straight pattern with gel in order to make his hair neat. Cameron takes his phone, his iWatch and Herschel bookbag before heading downstairs to the kitchen, only to be met with surprise.

"Oh good morning son. I made you french toast with berries and sunnyside eggs." His dad states cheerfully while whipping himself something to eat.

"Morning Dad. It's so weird to see you here half past 6am." Cameron greets as he makes his way to the table where his breakfast is. He takes out his phone as it vibrates in his pocket.

Moon🌙🌙💎💎: Hey Cam, do you need me to pick you up? Sam is driving Yasmine to school after her Range Rover hit a 'deer'.

Cameron: Wait? She hit a deer? When did this happen?

Moon🌙🌙💎💎: It's a cover up because the other night, me, Yas and Sam were driving while Yas was on her phone until she rear ended a guy's car.

Cameron's face went slack. Yasmine rammed into a guy's car while texting and driving? How stupid can she be? Sighing through his nose, he shoots a text back.

Cameron: I'm glad you guys are okay but why did she do that? Her father must be mad.

Moon🌙🌙💎💎: Hence why she uses the 'deer' code as a cover up incident so it wouldn't be a bigger problem. Besides, her dad's a huge venture capitalist so money isn't a problem for her or him.

Cameron: Anyways thanks for offering me the drive but my dad is driving me today. He's opened up a new private office and is now stationed in West Valley General Hospital.

Moon🌙🌙💎💎: Wow, that's cool. Your dad is closer to home😊

Cameron: Same thing I said lol. But I gotta go. See you in school.

After sending her one last text, he sees another text from someone else.

Damien💵👔💼: First Day of School😔 at least we get to see each other
