Han-Seo's POV:

"We were supposed to go out tonight, its our two year anniversary" Y/N said in a somber tone. "I know, but Han-Seok needs me to work on some things for Babel" I said. "You can't move it to tomorrow?" She asked, a bit of hope laced in her quiet voice. "No love, I'm sorry" I said stroking her hair. Tears started to form in her eyes before she cleared her throat and stood up. "It's fine, I understand you need to work hard in your position" She gave a small smile. "I promise we'll go out soon" I smiled. "Ok" She said walking toward the door. "I promise y/n" I said. "Ok" She smiled once again before walking out of my office.

I let out a heavy breath, walking back to my desk. I rest my head on my chair trying to figure out how I would make it up to her again. Thoughts are racing in my head as I'm fighting myself to focus on my work. "Han-Seo!" Han-Seok says strolling up to my desk. "Hello" I give a quick smile before turning to my computer. He lays a box on my desk. "Happy Anniversary! You can give it to Y/N since you won't be able to go out this year" He smiled at me. I look at him and then the box. "What is it?" I asked. "Open it" He smirks. I grab the box and slowly open the lid. Inside I see a rose scented perfume from an expensive brand.

"I don't think she wanted a gift this year" I started. "I think she just wanted to finally be able to go on a date"

"Exactly, so this gift will make up for it" Han-Seok smiles, pushing the box closer to me. "You know material things don't fix everything right" I smile. "Don't worry little bro, she's only dating you for money anyways, she'll love this" He smiled even wider. "Promise me you'll send it to her, and tell her I send my best wishes"

I nod my head as he walked out of the room.

3 years later

Y/N's POV:

This year I was hopeful that Han-Seo and I would be able to go out. I skip into the Babel building and walk to the elevator. "Good Morning Y/N" Mr. Han says. "Good morning!" I say excitedly. "You seem happy" He says as we enter the elevator. "I'm very happy, Mr. Han" I smile widely. "Han-Seo and I are finally going out for our anniversary"

"Have you never celebrated?" He asked, his eyes growing wide. "No, he's always busy, but this year he said he would make sure to clear his schedule" I smile. "That's great Y/N, have fun" He smiles, getting off the elevator. I stay on the elevator until I get to Han-Seo's floor. I walk speedily to his office. Butterflies fill my stomach as I reach the door. We've been dating for 5 years and he still makes me nervous. I knock softly on the door. "Come in" A voice says. I walk in and smile at Han-Seo. "Hi Y/N!" Han-Seok exclaims. "Hi" I wave shyly. Han-Seo smiles at me before looking away.

"Are you almost done Han-Seo?" I ask smiling. Han-Seo doesn't budge. "Han-Seo?" I say. Han-Seok looks at the both of us. "Did you not tell her?" He whispers. Han-Seo's eyes were visibly teary. "Tell me what?" I ask, my stomach aching. "He can't go out today, he's got important work to do" Han-Seok smiles leaning back on the sofa. "Can't you do it later?" I ask my voice quivering. "You see Y/N, Babel can't arrange the schedule to fit in dates" Han-Seok smiles. "I mean shouldn't you be used to this, it's the fifth year it's happened"

I look at Han-Seo as he continues to stare at the wall. "Han-Seo, you promised" I say. He looks at me his eyes filled with tears.

flashback

"I just wanted to apologize for not spending the day with you, so I got you something" Han-Seo smiles. Y/N stands at her door in her pajamas. "I didn't want to buy you anything extravagant as it would distract people from your beauty" He says digging in his pocket. He pulls out a F/C yarn bracelet. "It's simple but I know with you wearing it, it will look ten times better"

Y/N smiles as the man puts the bracelet on her wrist. "This bracelet is also a promise to you" He says. Y/N looks up in curiosity. "I promise that if we haven't gone out together for our anniversary by our fifth year, you are free to dump me, and I will let you go with no questions asked" He smiles. "Why?" Y/N asks. "Why wouldn't you try and make me stay?"

"Because I know that we'll have gone out before then, and even if we hadn't I shouldn't keep you waiting around for me" He smiles. "All I want for you is happiness, it what you deserve"

flashback end

I walk up to the desk, tears falling from my eyes. "Han-Seo" I whisper. "Don't make me do it, tell him you're coming with me"

He looks at me and back at his brother. "Han-Seo, look at me" I say. "I love you, and if you loved me like you say you do you would tell him that we're leaving"

Han-Seo just looks down with his face in his palms. I take a breath, drying my tears, and I remove my bracelet. I grab one of Han-Seo's hands and place it in his palm. As he felt the yarn in his palm he starts sobbing. I turn around and walk toward the door. "Happy Anniversary" Han-Seok smiles. I turn around to face him, slowly walking up to him. "Why do you hate your brother so much?" I ask. "I don't hate him, I love my little bro" Han-Seok smiles. "Then why have you done this every year?" I ask. "Done what?" He asks. "Don't be ignorant, you know that every year on this day you schedule some important thing that Han-Seo has to do or you'll hit him again" I say. "Hit him?" He says a bit shocked.

"Oh shut the hell up Han-Seok, do you think I'm dumb!" I exclaim. "You and me are basically the only people he sees because he's always stuck in this damn office, and I know it's not me"

Han-Seok walks up to me bending down to face me. "Well if he wasn't stupid and did as his older brother said he wouldn't have to be hit, now would he" He smiles. I smack him across the face. He laughs a bit holding his cheek. "Seems you're stupid too" He says raising his fist. I stand there, eyes closed, waiting for the blow but it never comes. I open my eyes to see Han-Seo covering me. "Hey stupid, move!" Han-Seok says punching Han-Seo's shoulder.

"No, you can hit me all you want but you won't hit her" Han-Seo says. "You really are stupid, now move before I make you" Han-Seok says his face clearly pissed. Han-Seo turns around and hugs me. "Don't move" He whispers. I can feel Han-Seok shaking and punching Han-Seo's body. Han-Seok lets out a scream.

"Go, go now" Han-Seo says, pushing me off him. I rush to the door and look back seeing Han-Seok pick up something from the table and walk towards Han-Seo. I rush forward grab Han-Seo's wrist and run out the door. I don't look back as I drag Han-Seo into the open elevator. I frantically press the close doors button as Han-Seok runs at the elevator full speed. By a second Han-Seok misses us. I let out a breath and sit on the floor. Han-Seo sits by me. "I'm sorry, I really tried Y/N" Han-Seo says. "I know" i say grabbing his hand. The elevator doors open and Mr. Han enters. "Oh, are you two headed out for your date?" He asks. I look over at Han-Seo. "Yeah" He smiles widely. "So, what're you doing on the floor?" Mr. Han asks. "Nothing" I smile and stand up.

Han-Seo stands next to me our fingers intertwined. We walk to his car and he drives us to the restaurant we met at. I used to work as a waitress there and was lucky to have been assigned to his table. "After you" He smiles holding the door. I smile as we walk in and the waitress walks us to a table. I just stare at Han-Seo as he looks around the restaurant. "Is your back okay?" I ask a bit worried. "It's fine, he's done worse" He smiles. "That's not good Han-Seo" I say grabbing his hand.

"I know, and it'll probably be worse once I see him again, but what else can I do?" Han-Seo says. "Don't see him again" I say. "How? I work for him and well he's my brother" He says. "Live with me" I say. "As much as I would love to, he would just come looking, and I don't want him finding where you live" He says. "And I appreciate that but he'll hurt you more" I say. "I'll be fine" He says. "I promise" He smiles sliding the F/C yarn bracelet back on my wrist.

"I told you I wanted only happiness for you, and I want to be the person who gives you that" Han-Seo says. "I want to be your happiness"
