I wish I never met you
I rush towards the Gryffindor table as the dining room empties out, searching in the endless crowd of students for some sign of Harry, Ron, and Hermione. I see a flare of red and follow it through the exit trying to politely make way through the students. "Ron! Wait up!" I say and watch as the ginger turns around making eye contact with me, turning around and pointing me out to the other two. They wave me down to follow them through a nearby hallway. After what seems like a maze of absolutely beautiful architecture and walls filled to the brim with beautiful art, I feel a shove in the back flinging me towards the trio. I stumble slightly before catching myself, only seeing a flare of platinum blonde hair scatter away.
Draco Malfoy...
I hesitantly look back at the group as they look at me curiously. I rub the nape of my neck lightly before breaking the somewhat awkward silence between us. "I think we're all surprised by the sortings hat choice hm?" I say it while letting out a dry laugh. I wait for an answer from them eventually hearing Ron speak up "I've never had a Slytherin friend." "Me neither." said Harry before cracking a smile, "I guess this will be a first." I look at Hermione hoping she'll chime in but I can't help when my stare lingles a little bit longer, her face contrasting amazingly with her house colors and her dark brown eyes slightly illuminated from the dim lights surrounding us. "What did the sorting hat mean when it said another one," she says skeptically eyeing me before I answer. "I...I don't know, my dad never really informed me about the school let alone his experience here but I guess he was also a Slytherin." she nods seemingly to find the answer acceptable for now. "So tomorrow I get my schedule, do you guys mind showing me around?"
"Of course! Just meet us in the dining hall for breakfast and we'll take the whole day showing you around all our favorite spots at Hogwarts," says Harry, Ron nods eagerly and Hermione offers me a reassuring noise agreeing with Harry. "Great I'll see you guys tomorrow," I say before waving them goodbye and following some loitering Slytherins up to the dormitories.
I can't help but look at the beautiful green complementing the dark wood and fireplace. A few bookshelves filled with books whether it be from Hogwarts: a history to the history of Slytherins. I walk up the spiraling staircase to the girl's rooms. I open the creaky door into a bustling group of girls, upon my arrival they immediately bring their voices down to a hushed level before giving them an awkward smile and walking to my bed finding my cat aswell as my trunk placed on top. I let Red out of her crate and she immediately hops out, stretching and rolling around on the fluffy comforter. I smile and push her crate underneath my bed before opening my trunk and pulling out a pair of pajamas. I look around the room the hushed voices changing back into a screaming match. I take my shirt off before pulling a loosely fitted shirt over my head, changing my uncomfortable pants into some pajama bottoms. I take my robes and hang them on a nearby closet rack and set myself in for bed. I let Red snuggle underneath the blankets and before I knew it I was out like a light.I wake up to a kneading cat whose loudly purring in my face demanding attention. I groan lightly before slowly opening my heavy eyes and let out a yawn before stretching my whole body. I sit up seeing the bright sun peak in through the blinds. I look around noticing the other girl are all dead asleep. I stifle a laugh before spending a few minutes with Red before dawning on my robes and heading down to meet the trio for breakfast, Red following me at my heels as I bound down the spiral staircase struggling to not fall. I finally reach the common room and come face to face with the dreaded blonde. "Malfoy," I say with a clenched jaw. "What a surprise I was not expecting to find you here, a filthy little low-life befriending the Harry Potter." He spits it out in his ungodly bratty tone. I huff "What does Harry even have to do with this?" He looks at me completely baffled "Honestly has your father taught you nothing? Harry Potter? The only one capable of stopping the Dark Lord himself." I scoff "Seems like Draco has a crush on Harry."
"I swear to you if you go against me in any way your secret will go straight to Dumbledore himself." I ignore him, walking away from the situation as fast as possible before he could find a way to gain more leverage over me. The truth is I never really liked Lord Voldermort or what he stood for, all his followers were either deadbeats or prissy little brats such as Draco's father. But standing up to him was no small feat and I would never verbalize my thoughts. What an awful way to start the school year.
A/N: Sorry for this type of filler chapter, I was not feeling so good last night, and just wanted to get something out, promise next one will be a lot better!
