Every year I leave home to go to school, I never come home for any of the holidays so I gave my parents the largest of hugs. I waved goodbye before rushing onto the old red steam train. As I placed my foot inside the train my throat got tugged back for another giant hug from my dad.
"I'm gonna miss the train!" I cried and scrambled out of the hug and onto the train without being attacked. As I waved goodbye the train started to move, I grabbed my things and placed them in the baggage carriage. I passed each carriage and checked each room, I looked to see if my friends where there. I found Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, but not my friends. Harry Potter was the diamond in the school. Dumbledore loved him and so did all his adoring fans, but I just felt sorry for him. Never could he go through a hall way with out the awkward stare from some stranger. I knew Hermione pretty well, she helped me with my assessments and gave me some guides to studying. I was thinking so much I didn't watch where I was going, when I looked back up I fell. Running into Ronald Weasley, I fell on him. He grabbed me under my arms and helped me get back into my feet. My face went pale to red, my heart racing. He wasn't much taller than me, his red hair messy and styled. His cheeks the siltiest bit red.
"I'm so sorry I didn't watch where I was going," I said, trying to reduce the redness in my face.
"It's fine, plus it was my fault some kid was following me and I didn't see you," Ronald replied. Slowly the red in my face faded.
"I'm sorry but I don't think I know your name?" Ronald replied, handing out his right hand. "Alexandra, but you can call me Alex," I replied shaking Ronald's hand.
"My names Ronald, but you can call me Ron," Ron said.
"Your in my year right?" Ron asked.
"Yes I was in half your classes last year," I replied. Ron stared at me for a minute, as he looked confused, my mind froze. Why was I thinking like that, yes he was cute but, I've never really met him before.
"Oh yeah, I remember now, Hermione helped you once," Ron said, nodding his head. "Well I better go off and find my friend," I said, feeling my face go redder.
"Oh yeah we should both start heading back," Ron added, he flipped his hair back over his ear. I felt my hole body melt, my heart was racing so fast it felt like it would burst out of my chest.
"You can come join me with Harry and Hermione, or we could hang out at school a bit more," Ron asked.
"Yeah that would be awesome, I don't have a lot of friends in Gryffindor so it will be fun making some," I replied and started to continue walking down the hall.
"Ok cool, bye then," Ron said waving as he walked the other way.
"Bye," I replied, as I walked I turned my head to look back at his red hair. it was unfortunate that I chose to look back the same time he did. Quickly we both turned our heads back to where we were looking before. I pushed my blond hair back over my shoulders and once Ron had entered the carriage with Harry and Hermione I sprinted down the hall.
"Natasha!" I cried sprinting down the carriage hallways. Natasha exited her carriage, I tried to stop by jumping in the air. I stopped moving forward but I didn't get my balance right, I misplaced my foot and landed on my backside. Natasha bursts out laughing, she walks over to me and offers me a hand. I take it, laugher almost as hard as she is. "Why did it take you so long to find me?" She asked, closing the carriage door.
"I ran into someone, and I literally ran into them. More like walked into them but-"
"Who did you run into!" Natasha asked interrupting me, I didn't know if I should tell her but then I remembered everything she had told me. So I sat down on the lounges and explained what happened.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Natasha blurted.
"Are you saying you ran into Ron Wesley?"
"Yes,"
"What was it like?"
"It was very much awkward, I didn't know what to expect, but he was so nice,"
"Tell me again about the turning around!" Natasha loved a story, and to make it better she loved it when she could some how make it romantic.
"He thinks your cute," Natasha whispered.
"No he doesn't!" I retorted, feeling my face go red.
"Then you like him! I can tell, you've been red every time I mention his name and the hole freaking out thing and-"
"Oh shut up!" I hissed, interrupting. Natasha was my best friend, we are in every class together beside charms, but that was it. The worst part was she was in Ravenclaw and I was in Gryffindor, so we couldn't hang out then either.
"I'm gonna ask him when you least expect it," Natasha said, she smiled.
"No. no, no, no, no, no!" I cried, pushing her off the couch.
"I can see it Roex," she cried laying on the floor.
