I leave my blonde hair how it is and head to the main floor. I see everyone's gathered and pause seeing Steve and Bucky. Yummy. Their eyes meet mine and I turn away blush on my cheeks and I walk to the kitchen grabbing a quick snack. Natasha comes "still?" I shrug "I don't know what you're talking about" she chuckles "you've been pining after them since you've met"
I scoff "no I haven't" they'd never go for someone like me. Besides Sharon Carter has seemed to catch their eye. "Yes you have and everyone knows of your crush....and I know what else you feel" hinting at my little space that I hide. I shake my head "it doesn't matter Nat." "You know they pine after you too?" She asks and I chuckle "you need to get your eyes fixed. Last I checked I'm not Sharon" looking their way as they laugh and get close to the blonde.
I advert my eyes my chest hurting at the sight. "They're not interested in Sharon Amelia" she tells me and I drink my coffee "even if that was true which it isn't they're not interested in me either" finishing my food and look at Sharon as she puts her hand on Steve's chest her face close to his. I walk away and decide to go on a drive. The door beside me opens and I see it's Bucky. "Where are you going?" He asks. The two always have been protective of me, which doesn't make things easier. I reply "on a drive for some peace"
"Are you okay? Did someone do or say something?" He asks worried. Nope...just ruthlessly pining after two men who don't want me and flaunt other women. But are protective of me, sweet, caring, down to the point of them bandaging any wounds I have and feeding me and giving me medicine when I get sick, and even take bullets for me. Not that it hurts them, Steve has his shield and Bucky has his metal arm. They even hold my hair back when I puke from drinking too much of thors liquor. And even lay beside me as I sleep to make sure I'd do so soundly....but they don't want me. They've shown it multiple times. Buckys had an entire relationship with Sarah, which Sam wasn't happy about. He's dated...multiple women. It hurt to see. But they all ended up hurting him. And guess who was there? Me.
And Steve? He has a weird thing with Sharon. He flirts with Maria hill all the time as well. He's been on dates that went to shit before as well. I tell Bucky "no...I'm fine. I just need a bit" he furrows his eyebrows "do you want company?" Not really...no. I don't. I tell him "I just need time for myself" he's worried. "Sweetheart are you okay?" He asks. And I nod "yeah" and he nods and says "call me if you run into any kind of trouble. Promise me" I nod "promise" and I roll up the window and drive off.
