Bella POV:
"I'm gonna wish I had a storm warning, I'm gonna wish I had a sign," my radio blasted. I sang along as I curled my hair. Once my hair looked presentable, I stepped out of my robe and into my work uniform. I glanced in the mirror and stared for a moment at my badge. It read 'Bella Heron, tour guide and usher'. I still couldn't believe I had this job. It didn't pay amazingly, but I got to be around some of the things I love most: music, history, and the paranormal. Oakbury Hall is one of the most paranormally active music venues in the country.

I pulled into the parking lot and took one of the farthest parking spaces from the entrance, as this was employee policy on concert days. Walking into the door, I sighed. Today was a big, exciting day, but it was going to be long. Tonight, Hunter Hayes was performing at Oakbury Hall. I probably wouldn't get to meet him, but he has always been one of my favorites, and I was glad to have the chance to see him live. Before then, though, I would have to do tours from 11:00 until 3:00 when I would have to begin to help set up for the concert. Although Oakbury is a renowned venue, we keep our staff numbers down so that we can act and feel more like a family.

I strolled over to the break room to set my things down, and I checked my phone. The time was 10:39, so I had about 20 minutes to kill before my first tour. After shoving my things into my employee locker, I started towards the Keuirg coffee machine. I picked out a dark roast and turned the machine on. While waiting for the Keurig, I felt a tap on my shoulder and I jumped a mile, right into my boss.

"Haha sorry Bella, did I scare you?" He asked. "Just a little," I lied, "what's up?" "I have a favor to ask you, Ross replied. "Okay, fire away she said nervously?" I replied. "Don't worry, it's nothing bad," he laughed. "Are you going to tell me or just keep me in suspense all day?" "Ok, today, I don't want you to give tours to the regular guests," Ross said, "we have a special group coming in." "Might I know these people?" "Their names are Zak Bag-" "WAIT. YOURE BRINGING IN GHOST ADVENTURES?" I yelled. "Maybe." As soon as that word left his mouth, I saw a dark shape move directly over Ross. "Ross? Did you feel something just then?" I asked. "Feel what?" He replied. "Never mind." The weirdest part of this was that the only light on in the room was a lamp that was behind Ross, giving no plausible reason for a shadow to be there at all.

"Okay, well in this tour, I want you to be very detailed, especially about the anatomy of the building and the people who died here. We don't want them getting lost and they should know what they may be getting into." "Do I still have to be done by 3 to help set up for Hunter Hayes?" I asked hopefully. "Once you give them the complete tour, you can have the rest of the night off, I'll cover your shift." "Thank you so much Ross!" I hugged him. "You're welcome, and if you want, you can come back for the Hunter Hayes concert and I'll get you and the guys in free if y'all want." "Really? Thank you! I thought you didn't believe this place was haunted?" My eyes flicked to the corner of the room where I could see the shadow of a body manifesting. "I don't, but since some people, mostly you, do, and because of all the history here, I decided to let them come when they asked." At that moment, I heard a clear "I'll make you believe" come out of the corner of the room, before the shadow began moving across the wall, toward Ross. "Okay, well excuse me, I forgot something in my bag," I said as I stepped towards him.

When he stepped away from the wall, I sighed in relief as the shadow dissolved. I reached into my bag and removed my digital recorder. "This has some EVP's that I've recorded here and I think they may want to hear them." Ross looked unsure. "I'm just going to see what they think of them," I pleaded with my boss. "Fine, show them your recordings but make sure you do the best tour you have ever done of this place." I grinned at his words. "What time will they be here?" I asked. Ross looked down at his phone and said "They just texted, they're pulling into the parking lot now."

Excitement bubbled up inside me as I prepared to meet some of my favorite people on the planet.
